I had come in for lunch this past Saturday while I waited for a vendor to return to their booth over at the farmer's market. I was greeted promptly and was told I could have a seat wherever I liked. My server came over dropped off menus and took my drink order. I wanted to try the special that day and it was a grilled cheese burger. My server took my order and in about ten minutes I had my burger, fries, and gravy. However after the server left the table I noticed my burger didn't look right. I had my fries and gravy while I waited for the server to come back to do the standard quality check. I had explained I ordered the special but got a grilled chicken burger instead.

To be completely fair I could see how someone could miss hear something like that and my server admitted his mistake and offered to have the order remade for me. I politely declined because I didn't want to wait again and I hate seeing food be wasted. I ate the grilled chicken burger and it was fantastic, perfectly done and not dried out to a piece of jerky.

After I was finished, my server came around and apologized again and asked how my meal was and I said it was excellent. Then he came back with my bill, before I could say anything he took 50% off the bill without me asking. To me THAT is what good customer service is about. Would I return again for another...

Terrible service!! If you want to be forgotten about the entire time and treated indifferently go here with all your friends.

They took our number incorrectly told us they would call is IF there was a table, we waited 40 minutes before asking where we were on the list and by this point they were letting people walk in and seat themselves.

They said they couldn’t get ahold of us all the while they were calling out at the front door to other parties and totally ignored us waiting there. When they seated us, they put us in this no mans land mezzanine between floors where it took another 20 minutes for our server to be found and to take our drink order.

We basically waited anywhere between 20-40 minute between each round of service. Our server kept saying I’m sorry I forgot about you and then would run off clearing half our dishes and leaving all our cups to pile up on the table without asking us if we wanted anything else.

At one point we had to walk to the bar to ask where they were and the bar staff didn’t even know.

Not a place I will take myself, friends or work parties again! If you want to spend well over three hours to have two and a half rounds of drinks and food and be dismissed by all the staff minus the nice people who brought our food then go...

My new inlaws and I came for dinner after our wedding. I had a suspect beef dinner and got terrible food poisoning by midnight. Been in bathroom for 14 hours. So I can't spend the last day with my inlaws b4 they leave the country. I have my food safe level 1&2 and I am a Red Seal Cook. Braised beef and sides were likely cooled incorrectly. Dinner wasn't hot or very good but we had waited an hour so I ate the edible parts. We looked up online their last audit by Health Authority and cooks had cooled food incorrectly. I really hope you throw out your braised beef, mash, rst veg and terrible red sauce. Start a new batch and make sure your cooks/prep cooks have renewed their food safe and actually use the education also. I will never return and pray no one goes through this at your bacteria ridden death trap. I noticed online there has been other complaints about cold food. Take this seriously!

5 months has passed. Just wanted to give an update. The Health authority said they would school CSBP on how to handle food safely. I was never contacted for an apology or refund. Also, my husband had tried 2 bites of my meal and he was in the bathroom as well with milder symptoms. So congrats on integrity in business and food safe education for your...

I have been to this pub a handful of times and have always been very happy with my overall experience. However my most recent experience was a real disappointment. Great place as always with amazing staff, service was excellent. However the food was shockingly bad, I got the Craig st burger as always and wow, what a decline in quality! A tiny amount of fries that looked like they were scraped off another diners plate of left overs, the were cold and unseasoned. I realize times are hard right now but this place is not cheap and cost cutting by reducing portions is a sure way to cancel repeat business. As for the burger, can't really say much since there really wasn't much taste to comment on, it was bland and also on the cold side. Been to this place many times but alas, the good service is not enough on its own to bring me back. It's disappointing, I used to really like this joint, I'll be going to Just Jake's next door and hopefully they will fill that gap for my next dining experience.

This place has a really well rounded staff that is friendly and inviting every time I've been there. Their service is prompt friendly and informative. They're all knowledgeable about the beers on tap as well. I've only had the late night menu but it's fantastic, and their kitchen stays open till 11 if you're a late night eater. The nachos I had were totally packed and reasonably priced for what I got I left super full! The atmosphere is really inviting the music isn't too loud it has a small town pub vibe. With wonderful wooden accents to bring the classic feel in with modern decor to compliment it. They also have their equipment on display in the back which is always an interesting view. I would recommend this to anyone coming through town for a more adult pub setting.

We stopped by here for an early dinner, and were not disappointed at the overall design and interior of the building. It's very dimly lit, with multiple floors and an outdoor patio upstairs to eat at; choose wherever you want to sit! Staff there were very patient and quick to serve our meals. They also acknowledge the BC trail app rewards, so we got a free glass with the purchase of a pint! The food tastes great, although it is served in very small portions compared to the price. This place is not cheap. Regardless it was worth stopping by here, and is great for any kinds of events; family gathering, couples, or even celebrations! I recommend Craig Street Brew pub if you're looking for a pub in Duncan!
