I recently had the pleasure of visiting Urban Forest Bistro in Duncan, BC, and I couldn't be more impressed. As someone with dietary restrictions—I'm lactose intolerant—it’s often tricky to find places where I can eat without worrying about hidden ingredients. Urban Forest Bistro, however, is a breath of fresh air. The owner, who was both friendly and professional, took the time to help me select a muffin, a lemon blueberry vegan gluten-free muffin, and it was absolutely delicious—so good, in fact, that I ate it before even thinking about snapping a photo! What I love about this bistro is its dedication to creating a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of dietary needs. The menu is full of options that are sensitive to food allergies and intolerances, which means I can dine worry-free. It's clear that the owner put thought into creating a place where people could enjoy delicious food and feel good afterward. Even my boyfriend, who doesn’t have any dietary restrictions, gave the muffin a big thumbs up! If you're in the area and looking for a spot with fresh, allergen-friendly options, I highly recommend a visit to Urban Forest Bistro. It’s a rare gem where everyone can feel comfortable, enjoy great food, and leave happy!

Beautifully fresh establishment, with a great variety of bistro and lunch foods. I tried the BLT and the beef brisket. The blt was done differently than I've ever had, using pork belly instead of traditional bacon and it was a tasty change with fresh local veggies to boot. The beef brisket had a fantastic hint of blue cheese which melded amazingly with the local true grain focaccia bread. The staff are super friendly, and the chef has some serious skill! I would definitely recommend trying this brand new bistro out. Their creamy tomato soup was one of my favourite highlights, best tomatoe soup I've ever had with a great nice creamy consistency! Their new establishment is fresh and bright inside, with beautiful tones of an Urban Forest vibe. The menu is priced awesomely for all the local and fresh ingredients they offer! Thank you for the wonderful experience and food! Check these guys out!

Love on a plate! I ordered the vegan grilled cheese, I certainly wasn't expecting a tsunami of wonder! From the perfection of fresh made and herbed up toasted panini offering taste and balanced texture. In sync with the texture, a gooey center offering a delightful whisper of smoked olive. Impressive mindful eating, this is the place for lunch!

I recently had the pleasure of discovering the Urban Forest Bistro, and I have to say, it's one of the best organic non-GMO restaurants I've ever visited. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the place.

But as impressive as the ambiance was, the food was the real star of the show. I was blown away by the range of flavors and textures on offer, all made from the freshest and most sustainably sourced ingredients available. From the creamy avocado toast to the chipotle butternut squash soup, every dish was a masterpiece in its own right.

But the standout dish for me was definitely the beef brisket. It was slow-cooked to perfection, so tender and flavorful that I could hardly believe it was organic and non-GMO. The smoky and rich taste of the brisket was complemented perfectly by the restaurant's homemade barbecue sauce, which had just the right amount of tang and sweetness.

What really set the Urban Forest apart for me, however, was the cafe's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Every ingredient used in the menu is organic and non-GMO, and the cafe uses compostable and biodegradable materials whenever possible. The bistro even sources their beef from a local farm that uses regenerative agricultural practices to ensure that their cattle are raised in a way that's good for both the animals and the planet.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Urban Forest cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and sustainable dining experience. The beef brisket alone is worth the trip, but the rest of the menu is equally impressive. The cafe's commitment to sustainability and their delicious food make it a must-visit for anyone looking for a great meal in a warm and...

I want to love this place because the people are so nice and the food is pretty good, but it kind of just feels like they gave up halfway through opening a restaurant.

Every time I've been in there's the same pile of appliances and furniture by the door. It's counter service but there's no sign with the menu so you have to awkwardly stand at the counter while you choose what you want.

I hope you want coffee or tea because they do both of those really well. It's probably lunch time though so for lots of people it's a bit late for those. The only other drinks they offer are san pellegino sodas or water with no ice, because somehow they don't even have ice.

The paninis are pretty good but a lot of them are very similar. The soups are legit fantastic.

There's nothing on the walls, the place just looks like a hallway.

I went on their website like two weeks ago, every item on their online ordering was "sold out" I looked today and it's exactly the same.

I legit hope this place pulls it together because their food is pretty good and they have vegan food I can eat while my husband can have meat and they use local ingredients.

The worst thing is I can't even feel sorry them because for some reason the owners capped out the tip option for the...
