A&W Canada — Restaurant in Edmonton

Very frustrating experience at drive thru, asked for a moment to decide with the menu and immediately was asked again what we would like. No biggie but humorous she must of been in a hurry. Made our order wanting to check out the spicy dill mama burger, seeing the picture of it with cheese I asked if it could be left off. The young lady said they don't come with cheese, I said ok but knowing from a lifetime of ordering food sans cheese I thought I better confirm for certain and stress my dislike for cheese on hamburgers and was again told there was no cheese. Told her I would take her word for it but would not be happy there was cheese on it. Got the order checked and there's cheese on it, told her there was cheese on it she continued to deny that there was. Not sure whether fast food staff don't listen, understand or just don't care but it is a very common occurrence, I say no cheese they hear cheese and often I end up with extra and charged for it too, it's funny but ridiculous. Every time I have gone to this location there's been some kind of issue. But the foreign one was when the assistant manager told me if you don't drink coffee we don't care. Coffee comes first before every other drink. So if you have kids that don't drink coffee don't take them here. You will not get their drinks until after you've got your food if you're lucky and you'll probably have to ask again. This has happened twice to me. The assistant manager told me to shut my mouth in that I shouldn't have the right to say anything. They keep treating me differently than everybody else and messing up my order every time in some way shape or form between forgetting drinks because I don't drink coffee or giving me one over easy egg and one over heard egg. I've done breakfast cooking professionally for many years. It's not hard. And asking somebody why they're being treated differently when everyone can get coffee. But you can't get a different beverage is not asking much. It's asking...

Food/Drinks: I found that the burgers were not bad here. A little sloppy when being put together but its fast food so im not too concerned. The main problem is that three of my friends that I came here with who ordered onion rings all had the same issue with their food. Way too much batter and tasted really bad and stale.

Service: The staff here seem to be very lost, confused, or dont care. One of my friends watched one of the staff take his food out onto the floor, have a quick look around, then give up trying to find the owner of the food. My food was given to another one of my friends even though I had the order number right in front of me.

Atmosphere: fairly clean and open. Lots of light and a good amount of seating.
