Good Buddy Restaurant (North) — Restaurant in Edmonton

Here are my reasons for two star.

-They don't follow special instructions if you order via APP. Asked for extra stuff and willing to pay, but did not follow.

When you order on the app, some of the photos are posted under the wrong English name. If you're an English speaker and basing on the picture since there is lack of details, you might not receive what you want. Upon receiving the item not as advertised, when I called and told them how they posted the wrong photo and this isn't what I wanted, they claim "well it said blank (just repeats the english dish name " so it's the right order". Also, the dish didn't have any description so I based it off the large photo posted next to it.

When I ask them 3 questions for clarification before buying, they say "just read the words on the website".

Food is not hot, but luke warm despite me living close and being able to pick up as soon as they finished the order.

They seem shady for doing this. Food taste ok. I came here cause it was close and was hoping it be a good place, but was very disappointed in the customer service and poorly made app. Just a warning for everyone (specifically those who can't read mandarin" before you decide to order here VIA app. Maybe they're nicer in person, but I wont be...

I been coming before covid and service was alright like 3 stars.... But after covid I didn't understand the service at all I came back after 3 years I notice they have awards for being one of the best 100 restaurants. So i expect it gotten better!! I came in with a reservation and didn't got seated until 30 mins later after I told them many time I had a reservation.. then it got even worst! We went on a busy day and yes I understand you guys were busy but the management team needs to step up there game plan for the place. Especially when this place is consider the best. The food came out an hour later and they told us they lost our bill.. while a table after us got there food frist! I think they give the wrong food to a different table. I know telling the staff we won't be coming back won't break there hearts because no matter what they are successful. I don't get it. The restaurant has awards for being the best but why the management team is so poorly skill!? Even the manager didn't want to talk to us and the poor lady had to deal with it. That's not...

I’d give Good Buddy North 2 out of 5 stars. This used to be one of my favorite spots for Chinese food, but unfortunately, the quality has really gone downhill. The dishes that were once flavorful and fresh now often come out bland, overly greasy, or just not well-prepared. The consistency that made it reliable is no longer there.

One of the biggest issues lately is the price. It’s become very expensive for what you get. Portion sizes haven’t increased, but the cost definitely has—and with the decline in food quality, it just doesn’t feel worth it anymore. What used to be a great value meal now feels overpriced and disappointing.

Service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's efficient, other times it feels rushed or inattentive. The atmosphere is still decent, but that only goes so far when the food doesn’t live up to expectations.

I really wanted to keep loving this place, but it’s hard to justify coming back when the food no longer matches the high prices. Hoping they turn things around, but for now,...
