barBURRITO — Restaurant in Edmonton

I have never been to this location of Bar Burrito before, and have usually had a good experience. However, this time last week I could not finish even 1/3 of my bowl due to the fact that my stomach started hurting from it.

I ignored the obvious signs of food poisoning I was suffering from which lasted 4 days after consuming the bowl because, as I mentioned, the other locations of this chain are fine.

The symptoms started with moderate stomach pains the day I ordered the bowl. On day 2 and 3, I had the worst symptoms while I was at work all day. I continuously vomited, my ears then became muffled and was in pain which also caused me to be very dizzy. On day 3, I woke up with vertigo— I could not do much movements with my head as the entire room would spin nonstop which caused me to be extremely nauseous as well.

I am not one to bash businesses, especially restaurants, which is why I did not connect the dots until now. However, I am STILL not well and experience dizziness on the daily basis and felt the need to review. I ate a D-BOX (which I’m confused because they didn’t give me the burrito and fries combo, but some weird burrito bowl combination with fries) before my final in December, and it caused a stomach ache during my final. But after we had this line, and I felt like passing out after and I thought I was going to die. I started blacking out, heating up, and unable to hear for several minutes. After I left, I threw up. I genuinely cannot fathom how it made me feel because I felt perfectly fine before eating it. I’ve ordered from this place multiple times on UberEats; I just ordered again tonight and I was once again amazed by how good the food is! Shout-out to our homie Aaron the owner for his great personality and pleasant demeanour. My boyfriend says it’s “some of the best food I’ve ever had. I expected a simple meal but was overly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food”. We will definitely be ordering again from this FIRE joint.

This time we got: 2x extreme fries, boyfriend says it’s the best fries he’s EVER had 2x ground beef quesadillas, great portions and the Bang Bang sauce was indeed a BANGER Chips and salsa… why are they the best chips and salsa I’ve ever had for some reason?!
