Bonnie Doon Bowling Lanes – A Glorious Throwback to Gutterball Glory
If you’re looking for a place that smells like your childhood and sounds like the ‘80s never left, Bonnie Doon Bowling Lanes is your time machine—and baby, she’s still rollin’.
Walking in feels like high-fiving history. The carpet? Iconic. The scoreboard screens? Probably older than your cousin with the mullet. But that’s the magic. You don’t come here for cutting-edge tech—you come here to throw a heavy ball at innocent pins while your friends cheer like it's a championship.
The vibe? Retro chaos meets wholesome fun. You’ll see kids tossing granny shots, seniors casually flexing 40 years of wrist technique, and that one guy taking league night way too seriously. We love him. He’s the backbone of the vibe.
Concessions serve the classics—popcorn that could double as packing peanuts, nachos built for nostalgia, and a soda machine that tastes like your youth. Bowling shoes? Let’s just say they’ve seen things. Wars. Trends. TikTok.
Bottom line: Bonnie Doon Bowling is where time stands still, pins still fall, and you still can’t break 100. A perfect night out for laughs, memories, and light existential crisis about why you're still this bad at bowling.
5 out of 5 pins....

They also never said prices were per a person over the phone, they told us it was per a game and that was it. We didn't know it was per a person until we were already there. They also stuck us right beside a huge group when there was atleast 10 lanes back to back that were empty. Would not recommend, the Sherwood Bowl is much cleaner,...

That being said, the staff do seem rather bored and rightly so, as some days have them just sitting and waiting for guests to come or go. We had to try and get the attention of one of the front clerk employee's browsing their phone, they'd seemed rather too engrossed in it to notice new clients showing up.
I don't fault them for that, the work looks abysmal and very dragging. Still, out of the many times I've attended during their more busy hours, the employee's are giving it their all and providing quality...
