I haven’t been to Ragazzi for well over a decade. I remembered it as a decent pizza restaurant. My daughter happens to live nearby so we went there. On a 1-10 rating, service was about 5. Not really bad but not good. We reserved a table for 6 and when we arrived we were sat near the kitchen and the front door where everybody stands when they come for pick up etc.. We were told there were no other options. We ordered a large salad which we were told could be shared by up to 4 people. They delivered a smaller salad, apologized, quickly threw in some more Iceberg lettuce and brought it back. Daughter requires gluten free options (Celiac) and they have them and I did not hear a complaint. Pizza toppings are fine and plenty of options. Maybe they had an “off night but the pizza crust was memorable for how ungood it was. Almost like a ready made crust. I theorized that because my daughter asked for gluten free pasta, they gave the rest of us gluten free crust? Don’t get me wrong, I ate plenty and enjoyed it. But I am not raving about the food, not over the top about the service so it’s sort of OK. the place has been around for more than 20 years and everybody has...
Read moreFirst time here the day before Valentine’s day and let me say that you will not be disappointed. As you first walk in, you are warmly welcomed by the greeter, owner, or waitress (maybe all 3). The restaurant holds the perfect dinner atmosphere and the food reflects its comfort. I can’t speak for all dishes, but the serving size matches or exceeds the price you pay. You will not leave hungry.
Expectations were exceeded with the service. Our waitress, Kelly, was absolutely phenomenal. She was polite, helpful, extremely kind, and communicated exceptionally well with our table. With honesty, Kelly recommended the best dishes the restaurant had to offer.
I recommend the “POLPETTE” (meatball appetizer) as these are cooked and perfectly soft in flavour, they will tantalize your tastebuds and melt in your mouth. If you want something creamy, I highly recommend the “SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA”. The prosciutto adds a wonderful saltiness as the creaminess of the sauce complements the dish altogether.
My party and I had an absolute wonderful time here and I sincerely recommend this as a place to dine. You’ll be greatly...
Read moreAfter a back and forth "where are we going to eat" debate with my other half...and a pregnancy craving for pasta...this place was the winner of the many choices this city has to offer.
From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a very friendly hello from behind in the kitchen with whom I assume was the owner. That was a start to the rest of the service we received...on a very busy Saturday evening.
The waitress was efficient and friendly. Which lets face it...these days is hard to come by. The food was absolutely amazing. Let's just say we both over ate but couldn't seem to stop! We even ordered food to go...which was also amazing.
When we were leaving the man from the kitchen made it a point to say hello (not just to us...to every single customer who was leaving) and ask us how our meal was. We chatted a bit...your typical where are you from and what brings you here type of stuff....
I can speak for both of us when I say we absolutely enjoyed every crumb we stuffed in our face, the prices and quantities were great, but the service was what makes this place a winner. We will 100%...
