Read moreThe premises and the surrounding neighborhood are beautiful. The whole grain sourdough was indistinguishable from a quality white bread with excellent texture; I didn't taste much of sourdough or the characteristic flavour whole wheat. (If that was a mistake by some trainee I'd like to give this place another chance.) Compared to some similar bakeries, I would also say it was about 25% overpriced even if it was a whole wheat sourdough.
The lemon poppyseed twist had fantastic texture and a delightfully appropriate level of sweetness at a very reasonable price, but I found that the flavour wasn't a highly convincing combination with this texture. It was gross enough that it totally ruined what was supposed to be a fun little outing.
If you need gluten free goods- take your...
