Near the Marriot hotel on the top, the funicular is not working at the moment but you can still walk down the stairs..to the look out opposite the big tourist ship, and then take the elevator down to the waterfront. It is a nice stroll towards the east, where you can stop by the Adventure Centre for paid activities, or just get an icre-cream/coffee. Further down is the peaceful Chinese garden (about 10 min walk east of the elevator)...at the Tawatina Bridge. It is another nice shaded walk/run/bike/scoot along the bridge...don't forget to look up the ceiling of the bridge to admire the artwork. At the other side of the brdige is the Muttart Observatory and the big tourist ship. Some even swim in the small beach below the bridge. It is a well maintained scenic park along the Saskatchewan River. It would be a perfect stroll path if most of the e-bikers/e-scooters respect the elderlies/kids also...

Always wondered why so many cars were parked opposite the Shaw Center in Downtown Edmonton. The parking is free and there is ample parking space. There are steps leading to the Riverfront on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton. The steps are not too steep . I really appreciate the time, money and effort taken by the city of Edmonton to beautify this stretch of area. The place is well maintained with a long walking area on the side of the North Saskatchewan River. There are many benches placed along this stretch with lamps and flowers. There is a shop that rents canoes, etc . The outlook area has seating facilities with huge pots of colorful eye-catching flowers . The view is great. The boat jetty that ferries the tourist during summer on the river is opposite this river. A walk along this stretch is beautiful and relaxing. It's a great place to visit alone or with...

If you love greens, water, open skies and solitude: BE HERE

Keep good cool 2 hours at least, to soak in the ambiance and openness of the place, scenery with river in background and picturesque buildings of Hotel McDonald and Court Yard by Marriott on fore.

Enjoy the slow glide from top of hill to middle and the drop off by elevator to bottom near river Saskatchewan, so serene and sober in flow and glow in afternoon sun(when I caught it)

Juice up ur cell phone and be sure to clean the lens, other wise you will miss lot of clear-n-nice opportunities to click some of wonderful shots.

Dare to go down a bit on un treaded path down to N. Saskatchewan river, to be lap of Mother Nature. Sing along, alone and aloud if u wish!!

I did it, you will enjoy 😉, I bet!

Have fun, and if you feel gud please like...
