Do yourself a favour and look up their recent health violation. This is all just from a August 25, 2022 visit. They have many more violations previously. I don't like calling out small businesses like this, but this is disgusting and people should know before they choose to eat at Double Greeting.
-Foods such as chopped vegatables and dry noodle was left uncovered on the racks and shelves on the prep line in the kitchen. -Foods such as chicken, fish, pork and chopped vegetables were not covered in the walk in coolers. -Prep cooler across from grill was not working. Staff were aware of this. Food inside cooler was at 25 degrees C, including meat, noodles and chopped vegetables. Staff indicated that food was in this unit for around 30 minutes for lunch. -There were mouse droppings on the floor underneath the shelves in the back pantry room. -There were bowls of water sitting behind the bar counter used for scoops. -Large mixer in the back room beside the tiled mop sink had a build up of food and moisture. -The following areas had a significant build up of food, grease, dirt, dust etc.: Bottom mechanical portion of the Frigidaire fridge by the kitchen entrance; metal table/rack by the kitchen entrance; underneath the deep fryer; ceiling vents; the legs of the grills and the gas lines; floor grate in front of the grills; mouse trap boxes; the handles of all coolers, walk in coolers/freezers; the underside of the 3 compartment dishwashing sink and the legs, as well as the floor underneath the sinks; inside the back stainless steel 2 door cooler that was leaking water; bottom mechanical front grill portion of all the coolers in all the back rooms and back pantry room; the detergent pail in the corner of the back room next to the tiles mop sink; racks in all of the walk in coolers; shelves of the pantry room and the floor under the shelves; scale on the shelf in the back storage room; back exit door frame; under the ice machine behind the front...
Read moreSadly, I have to lower my rating to a 2 star from a 5 star now. Not sure if they changed owners or something but the quality is just awful now. I removed 1 star for each thing that was wrong and which affected my review.
I ordered noodles with extra sauce on the side, with gai lan instead of the usual veggies. I specifically emphasized for it to be extra sauce. Not only did they gave next to no sauce in a horrible container (a flat container instead of the cylindrical ones, really?), but they also gave the wrong veggies. It was even worse because there were 4 measly pieces of veggies for all of the noodles. I called them multiple times to get a response, but no reply. Speaking of containers, they have downsized all of their containers so you get 2/3 or even 1/2 of what you used to get. The price hasn't lowered to reflect the containers change. The flavour of the food is lacking compared to before. In Cantonese we call it "wok hei" (you can Google that meaning). This restaurant used to have great wok hei, but now all of the food is lacking that signature flavour. It's quite literally what separates good Chinese restaurants from lacklustre ones.
Now, I grew up eating at this restaurant, it's quite literally my childhood. I have VERY fond memories of this place, and until quite recently still was in love with the atmosphere and food. Read moreThe manager named Michael was very rude about the parking one way he started yelling at us our guest ended up going home and not eating because they were very upset he didn’t even apologize the nice lady inside apologized on his behalf maybe get some balls and try to apologize instead of getting your employees to apologize for you, he definitely needs to have more customer service experience he is not gonna get anyones business this way… if safety is their concern they should definitely approach people nicely and not yelling and its our first time going there, and we were already parked we got out of the car he kept going off we said relax and he was still yelling, the place is very filthy anyways and old needs an upgrade and will definitely not come back after our first experience, horrible horrible attitude.. I stayed only for my aunt birthday she chose the place to celebrate it and he ruined it the guest went home and I didn’t feel like being there anymore either after that argument 👎… As for your suggestions please go back to school learn how to approach people properly and learn proper manners your not even the owner your just a manager, reading from your reviews this happens before in the past maybe you gotta take a hint and learn from your past mistakes.
