I recently visited Khan Kabab with my wife and kids, excited by the positive reviews we had read. However, our experience fell far short of our expectations. We ordered the chicken biryani and beef kabab, hoping for a delicious and satisfying meal. Unfortunately, we were left utterly disappointed. To begin with, the kebabs were excessively salty, rendering them almost inedible. It was disheartening to find such a fundamental flaw in their preparation. Additionally, the complimentary chicken soup that accompanied our meal was nothing more than oily water with an overwhelming amount of salt, further diminishing our hopes for a pleasant dining experience. Furthermore, the portion sizes of the dishes were incredibly small, especially considering the price we paid. We felt that we were not getting our money's worth, as the quantities were inadequate for a satisfying meal. Even the chicken biryani, which is typically bursting with flavors, lacked any discernible taste or aroma. It was a bland disappointment, leaving us longing for the vibrant and aromatic biryanis we have enjoyed at other restaurants. When we shared our disappointment with the staff, expressing our honest opinion about the complete lack of taste and small portions, their response was underwhelming. They offered a mere 10% discount on the bill as compensation for our dissatisfaction. In light of our unsatisfactory experience, I opted to give a 10% tip, reflective of the lackluster service, small portion sizes, and unappetizing food we received. Regrettably, this has been our worst experience with desi cuisine in Edmonton so far. Given the abundance of other establishments in the area that consistently deliver delicious meals with generous portions, I would strongly advise seeking alternatives to Khan Kabab for those seeking a memorable dining experience. Overall, our visit to Khan Kabab was a letdown, with tasteless food, small portion sizes, and subpar service overshadowing any positive aspects of our dining experience. It is disappointing to see a restaurant that falls short in multiple areas, especially when there are other options available that offer flavorful dishes and value for money.

Disappointing Experience at Khan Kebabs & Karachi I recently ordered a 1/2 kg serving of Peshawari chicken from this restaurant, and I was extremely dissatisfied. For the price, I expected a decent portion of meat, but instead, I received only three neck pieces and three wing pieces+ 2 additional pieces. That’s not even close to what I would consider a full or fair serving for the price they charge. To make matters worse, the restaurant has a policy where they charge an additional $2 for a reusable bag. It’s frustrating because in most other places, you’re lucky if you’re charged more than 50 cents for a bag. This feels like an attempt to nickel-and-dime customers rather than offering genuine value. Also same goes with Biryani this restaurant charge 15.95$ but only wings pieces again. In total they charged me 49$. In short, I felt that the restaurant is overcharging and not providing a good product or service. If you decide to order here, I highly recommend checking your food before you leave to make sure you're not getting shorted. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I won’t be coming back Review Update 30 Nov, 2024 (full refund was processed) I recently visited Khan Kebabs & Karahi, and while my experience started off a bit rocky, I was genuinely impressed by how the situation was handled by the owner. Initially, there was an issue with my meal that led me to request a partial refund. To my surprise, the owner not only refunded the full amount without hesitation but also didn’t pressure me to leave a review. Instead, he simply asked for one more opportunity to showcase their food and service. This kind of customer-centric approach speaks volumes about their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The owner’s willingness to make things right and the lack of any pressure for a positive review left a lasting impression on me. I appreciated the transparency and thoughtfulness, and I’m definitely willing to give Even another shot in the future. It’s rare to see a restaurant go above and beyond in this way, and I’m excited to see how they continue to evolve

We were hear recently with family of 7. Place was clean and accommodating for families. We ordered plates ranging from $13.99 - $19.99 and found the portions to be small. The food itself was good (9/10). Everything was cooked well and tasted great. I didn’t understand the half Naan concept and stuffing everything on one paper plate, Presentation could be better. Also, please do not deny serving tap water. I know you will make few $$$ more if patrons buy drinks but this is unethical and Frankly against the teachings of Islam. Don’t deny people the basics of drinking water, there is no policy that justifies this. Finally, the lady at front desk was helpful and accommodating so that made experience a bit better with some of the negatives. Please look at feedback and use it as motivation to improve for your own future success. Response: 1) Your responses are very confrontational 2) Not serving tap water because people will leave half empty and waste is a very lame excuse. Depriving someone of tap water is very unethical, you should consult someone of knowledge. Why even serve food then if you are worried about wasting? Wasting food is not your problem, it’s the customers. 3) No I was not comparing to Toronto prices, I was comparing to other prices in Edmonton and Calgary. You can see from your other reviews, for the size of portions you serve, prices are high. I’m not the only one who observed this, see your other reviews. 4) I only wish Businesses success so the constructive criticism is to help you, not for you attack your customers. 5) I would still comeback and visit if I’m in Edmonton, as service was great. You should give lady at counter a raise if she is an employee.

Worst restaurant in the country!!! Food is ok, but the customer service takes the cake! Not only r they ill mannered but have no regard for their customers or future business. Not only will I not give my business to a company that has no respect for people but will be sharing our worst experience with everyone to deter them away from this business. We were sitting with our family, the server to our back table continued to be rude with these guys, and than worst of all, the chef/owner it seemed came out practically screaming at the table of guys! I mean seriously, the guys weren't even being that rude, but the owner kept saying how he will kick them out and wouldn't even give them extra boxes to pack! Like what kind of business does that!!! To top it off, he said he would post one of the guys picture on the wall so that they won't serve or let him in again. Omg! Horrible customer behavior! The server to us was snooty to us as well so I have no doubt she exaggerated everything and manager/owner guy, oh man! Absolutely horrible manager. He should definitely be fired for his behavior. It was so hard to witness let alone sit there n eat. It seemed as though the owner/manager didn't want the business, I understand it was end of night but that means u shouldn't have taken the business if u couldn't cope with it. Ofcourse he wanted the money but didn't actually wanna provide the service!! Overall, worst restaurant, if I could give 0 star I would, definitely not worth going!

Editted: ur response just says alot abt ur customer service behavior! U r now just calling ur customers lairs so no need to say anything, as u said we r all being watched. Wont b support this local...
