I recently had the pleasure of staying at Super 8 Hotel, and I must say that my experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived until the day of my departure, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, the exceptional support provided by the staff, and the overall organization of the hotel. Additionally, the poolside area was a delightful addition to my stay. Let me start by commending the cleanliness of the rooms. It was evident that the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work. The room I stayed in was spotless and maintained to a high standard throughout my entire stay. The linens were fresh and crisp, and the bathroom was immaculate - everything one would expect for a comfortable and hygienic stay. The hotel staff truly went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and memorable experience. From check-in to check-out, they were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any inquiry or request. I was particularly amazed by their willingness to go the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. Whether it was providing recommendations for nearby attractions or addressing any concerns I had, their support was invaluable and greatly appreciated. Another aspect that impressed me was the overall organization of the hotel. From well-marked signs and easy-to-navigate corridors to prompt room service, it was evident that Super 8 Hotel values efficiency and guest convenience. It was refreshing to find everything well laid out, making my stay stress-free and enjoyable. Lastly, the poolside area was a wonderful addition to my stay. It provided a relaxing and enjoyable space to unwind after a day of exploring. The pool was clean and well-maintained, offering a refreshing respite from the summer heat. Whether I wanted to lounge by the water or take a refreshing dip, the poolside area truly enhanced my overall experience at Super 8 Hotel. In conclusion, I highly recommend Super 8 Hotel based on my recent stay. The cleanliness of the rooms, the supportive and helpful staff, the great organization, and the delightful poolside area combine to create a truly exceptional hotel experience. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Super 8 Hotel is an excellent choice that won't disappoint. I look forward to returning on my future trips.

The staff were ok sometimes the front desk lady with the glasses was nice and cheery all the time the only thing i didn't like was they don't give you privacy and wont let you sleep in on weekends if the front desk says to have full service even if you don't agree they will do it anyways and kick you out of your room to clean it , even if you don't need it ( goes against the the canadian freedom act, and they could have been sued over this) , the foreign housekeepers were the best cleaners and they didn't cause no problems like the other housekeepers did ( there was a young native one that worked the wkend and young Caucasian ones who wanted the drama when disagreeing with them about coming in when i wanted privacy) the weekends are crazy they have alot of unruly people, kids running in the hallways all hours of the night and cops there all the time , they don't have Cameras in the parking lot which i seen a guy have his car backed into and they had no footage for the poor guy , the breakfast is the same everyday (Sausages were good, boiled eggs, sometimes undercooked, and hash browns which were not that good and other reviews said it was like buffet style uhm no it is not , they serve you but you can have as much as you want, , the girls that are in the cafeteria were the best and always so accommodating and very nice and they kept the tables clean and everything organized and loved the juice machines but on the wkends you have to get breakfast early or else just take your breakfast upstairs to eat as it gets really busy in there , the rooms were small and dated, no gym and only one elevator, i didn't like that the sink was beside the door and no sink in the bathroom , the tvs and the decor was dated as well as the room.

Really bad experience here. Rude front staff. Booked for three nights and this is my first night. Up at 3:30 am cause kids above jumping on beds. Not very clean room and it's supposed to be a suit. Pictures are misleading for sure. God I have 2 more nights here. Thinking about taking a loss and leaving in the morning. If my kid didn't have a hockey tournament here I would have left. Don't stay on first floor cause it's gross and very noisy. Couldn't even get a room change. Update: Been here since Thursday and I guess they don't have housekeeping cause no one did our room. Had to ask for garbage bags so WE could empty our over flowing 3 garbage cans. Had to ask for toilet paper as well as thick blankets so we don't freeze at night. I believe it was the manager who apologized to us. Did not change anything or made anything better gave us free treats. I guess no matter how much you complain it seems all you ever get is a sorry. I have never heard even one time a front desk person ever say hi to me or anyone in the family. As a business owner if I treated my customers the way we been treated I would be out of business now. Going to be staying longer in Edmonton but not at this hotel! Come on guys get your act together! A 17 year old kid had a nicer room then us! No wonder why you folks are 2*. I would give you less if I could. You made our Trip here a unforgettable experience in a not so good way thank God we are gone on Sunday. Bye! Brian Dowell

Overall the place is nice to stay, however a bit overpriced for a 2-star hotel. That said we were here during 'peak season'. The rooms are dated, but speaking to the manager she said that they try and keep things as modern as possible.

The room is comfortable but as stated, dated. The pictures make it look much larger than it really is - but then, you are only in there to sleep -- but a room for 4 would be tight if there were actually four in there. We had three - two adults and one teen so we had to time who was doing what so we don't keep bumping into each other. :-)

There are little things you spot in the room that make you go "hmmm"... but I'm really attentive to details and it drives me nuts to see things out of place. For example, drill holes in the tiles but looks like it was an error and they were not filled in but just left.

Few places where the carpet meets the tile floor (in the entrance) the pieces to join the carpet and tile did not meet.

Our tub would not drain, we reported it to the manager and it was promptly fixed the next day.

Walls had splashes of coffee where the coffee machine was.

The room was a little musty when we got in, but my wife and I are very sensitive to smells so we went over to the dollar store and picked up a couple of air fresheners. Perhaps the hotel should look at doing something similar.

The beds were VERY comfortable, but the pillows a bit too soft.

The A/C worked - TOO WELL! I like it cold, but had to turn it off or increase the heat so it's not freezing inside the room.

Our room only had a fridge, and coffee maker (others have a microwave) - we only used the fridge and it did work great. Kept our bottled water, and pop bottles very cool. The hotel did offer continental breakfast but we did not take advantage of it.

The pool, and hot tub is nice - but the pictures make it look larger than it really is. Four adults in the hot tub and it would be full. It is ideal for a family with young children to keep them occupied and always seemed to be in use when we walked through the lobby and to our car.

Housekeeping is OK but we noticed that they don't seem to vacuum - we found some "nuts" on the ground (not ours) and 3-days later they were still there.

It's location is very convenient as you're close to the freeway so if you want to head out to West Edmonton Mall it is easy to get to. There is plenty of other shopping areas close by also.

There are also a lot of restaurants in the area - from inexpensive fast food to moderately priced as well as all types of cuisine (Mexican, North American, Lebanese, etc.,).

The hotel DOES NOT have a shuttle from the airport, however there are private shuttles but they are expensive so you may be better off taking a cab (depending on the number of people).

Overall we are happy with our stay here and if you don't care for "no frills" then this is the place to go. Place is very quiet even with many families and it appeared that they tried to keep families with young children on the lower levels as I never once heard anyone running on the top floor or any noise from the rooms beside ours.

Remember -This is a TWO-STAR hotel. If you are expecting 3, or 4 star level service you will not get it. This is not meant to knock the staff working here, they do their best with what they can. Yes there are several other options close by. Know what to expect from a two-star hotel and you...

I wanted to save a buck - so did they. Our room was right above the breakfast area, so that was nice as we have a toddler that runs around a lot. However, the room was FILTHY, anywhere from blood marks on the sheets (which we sold it to ourselves by believing it might've been chocolate) to dried grapes, pieces of candy, fingernails, little rocks, you name it. The walls even had a nice dried out splat of liquid dripping down (and I don't want to know what that is). The microwave was dirty from top to bottom. Remote for tv was missing the battery cover. Bathroom was in bad shape with some towels that had seen better days.

Two things we did on the first day - alert them about the Remote, and complain about microwave. Night clerk solution? Give them 2 sanitizing wipes and ya good to go.

Ok, so nothing will be done here, this is a booking.com reservation so the hassle to cancel and refund is harder than to just endure 4 days. That's what we did - we focused on the positives: the location and the pool (which was also pretty dirty and had sand at the bottom).

We spent our days as much away from our room as one could be, returned at night for our daily 'pool routine', showered and went to bed. The breakfast shenanigans and excuses ("oh we just had a visit from health services so no juice or toast for you") are just the cream of the crop - might as well axe it entirely: covid has become the perfect excuse for everything now. I guess the Hilton in Sask or our resort in Banff didn't get that same memo.

On the last day, they sent someone with some new remotes that didn't work, both of them. Overall, some understandable flaws, some serious issues and a feeling of 'welp, for the price...', which shouldn't be anyone's standards to conduct and make business, but hey, this pandemic is surely a great crutch for all business practices - slap'em with a housekeeping fee next! And I assure you I wouldn't mind that if the room was minimally clean. Welcome to...
