Decided to pick this place for Brunch after a fun Ball Hockey season. Love that it was local! First player who arrived looked into the dinning room and it was too busy to accommodate our group so we got a table on the lounge side. Water was brought out to our group immediately as we all looked over the menu. Loved the options and we got a good giggle about the Man-Mosas. Decided on the Taco Omelette with Multigrain bread. Coffee was good and another customer served me a top up! She wanted some more herself and started serving others, was quite funny. Our table was all served their meal at the same time and it was served hot. Food was great and our group had a great time. Would gladly go back as the staff was very nice, accommodating and the food was delicious.

We have been coming here for years and years. The service is always good and so is the food but the prices have unfortunately gotten out of control. My husband ordered a beef dip tonight and she asked if he wanted cheese and onions. Assuming those were a normal part of the meal, he said yes (as they are normally on this dish!). This resulted in a huge upcharge that we weren’t warned about. $5.50 for a very small amount of cheese and onions just isn’t appropriate and unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back. I understand things are expensive these days but this just feels like we’re being taken advantage of.

Today is Easter sunday, it was a happy and beautiful day. I was looking to have a good pancake for brunch. From SW Edmonton my husband and I drove to Muggnz. Unfortunately, this is the saddest fresh blueberry pancake I ever had. The photos from previous comments were look amazing and yummy, I have to say that this is a sad sad blueberry pancake, especially for a $14 and advertise as fresh blueberry pancake. Maybe, a friendly advice, add a blueberry compote on it, I don't know. I just know the moment I saw my plate, it didn't make me happy and it just looks so sad sad blueberry pancake. 💔😔

We're definitely not coming here again. It was around noon, and me along with my sister and mother came here for breakfast.

The service started out good and started going downhill. We came here specifically for their blueberry pancakes, which my mother specified, and she had eggs and sausage.

We were brought our food, but with no utensils in sight. It took a few minutes for us to catch the attention of the waitress. And with closer inspection, the pancakes the food-runner brought us were in fact not blueberry, but plain.

My mother told her this, for the waitress to say in a very stern and aggressive tone that she heard otherwise. She also told me and my sister that we can eat the normal pancakes as "they are going to the garbage anyway", which is not only a really strange thing to say, but completely pointless as the portions are quite big (5 large pancakes) to have seconds and we didn't come for plain pancakes.

Needless to say, the service was not going the best so far. You could pass this off as a simple mistake, so we waited patiently. In the meantime, my mother dug into the eggs, only to find out the white is snotty. When the food-runner came to bring us our correct pancakes, she brought the plate of food back to the kitchen.

The waitress came with a note and pen and asked how exactly my mother wanted the eggs cooked - probably assuming she meant the egg yolk. Definitely not with undercooked whites, that's for sure.

The pancakes were mediocre at best and the maple syrup tasted artificial. When getting the bill, she asked me and my sister what we were planning to do, a very private and strange question. It felt like she was being nicer to us than my mother. We left tipping the waitress $3 with no option to tip nothing, which doesn't even make it a tip, just an extra tax.

What was intended to be a nice breakfast came out as a very unenjoyable experience. The service completely ruined the atmosphere. This is disappointing as we had high expectations for a restaurant with such good ratings.

I don't recommend...

Super disappointed. We went today for some lunch, got a couple appetizers which were great. The kids of course liked their hot dogs & the steak that my husband had was okay. But I got a salad which was decent until I got this weird crunch in my mouth, not the cripsy chicken crunch but one that totally threw me off, like an egg shell, maybe the avocado skin, idk exactly what it was but it was not something I wanted to have in my mouth so I stopped eating, probably had 4 bites all together & that’s it. We mentioned it to our server & she said maybe it was a nut or a crouton.. this salad had neither nuts or croutons in it… then she went & just got the bill never even thought to maybe take off the salad or ask if I wanted something else even though it was clearly barely touched. After we paid, my husband mentioned it to another lady, seems it was the hostest. She then said she would get the manager & maybe he could refund us as she also thought it was not normal for me to have a crunch like that & not eat my food that we paid $21 for. The manager came & did nothing. Just looked & knoded while I told him the issue & he confirmed that there were no nuts or croutons in the salad so again, super weird to have a crunch like that. But even though we mentioned the problem to 3 people, nothing was done. We still paid over $100 for our bill & nothing was offered to us. Super disappointed & will never go back after this. We have been a few times, the food is okay at best but we enjoy the appetizers we usually got & now unfortunately after this, it’s just not a place we...

Disclaimer: on the bottom of every recipt they tell you to give them a 5star for a gift card. The bribery is probably the only reason that they have a 4.6 rating.

If I could give the service a rating lower then 1, I would. My husband and I came in for breakfast on October 27th and sat in 'The Den' (their lounge). We weren't greeted for the first 15 minutes, but we were hungry so we waited. This would be our downfall. Once we were finally greeted, the server didn't even wait until my husband was done placing his order before taking the menu out of his hand and interrupting him. She was rude throught our entire experience, and seemed as though she had no idea what she was doing. Add on another 30min wait for the food to come out and we have been sitting here for 45minutes at this point. Two other tables had come and gone in the amount of time it took to get a water refill. Once the food came to the table, his meal was missing 2 different items. My food had burnt toast that was whole wheat and not white, like I had asked for. The food is as mediocre as it has always been, but I've never expected alot from the food. The servers made this the worst experience I have ever had out dining. The entire time it took us to sit, wait for food, eat, and wait to pay was close to two hours. Concidering they only had 5 other tables for the two of them, it's very disappointing. This was the last time I will ever go to Muggnz, and I will never recommend to another...
