The former Chopstciks Diner that had ordered from for years was sold and rebranded to Rishun. First order, saw smaller portions and a 10% price bump. Quality was comparable but taste a bit different. Not impressed but gave them a couple more tries.

Latest visit broke the back, so to speak. Arrived to pick up when told to; over 5 minutes to even walk by the counter and over another 5 minutes to get our order from the back where we could see it sitting. Luke warm after the 7 minute drive home.

Prices up another 24%, quality down. Ginger beef and s&s pork both much poorer. Ginger beef almost meatless and both it and the s&s pork were like chewing rope. Fortune cookie time but they only gave 4 cookies for a 7 entree $100+ order.

One more insult. They have 2 independent promos. One, if you have a large enough order they give an extra entree. No problem. They also give a choice: Free delivery OR 10% discount. Elected to pick up and take the discount. They refiused to honor it. They said because you have an entree you can't have the discount.

Enough. Higher cost, smaller portion, poorer quality, poor service and won't honor their own promotion. Now looking for a new go-to Chinese restaurant...

We had been ordering from this restaurant for years but we won't be any longer....their busy times are Christmas through to New Years Day, which they know, so why are you on hold for over an hour to finally get a hold of someone who can't handle their job and says that their delivery orders are over 3 hours wait and then hangs up on you? Or when you do finally get to order for a pick up, they rush you through the order, and they forget parts of your order after you drive home and when you call back, again on hold, the person again can't handle their job, says they will credit you because they are too busy and it's not their fault. Even though while you were standing there to pick up your order originally at the INSTRUCT time they gave to pick it up, another person had called in to complain they had 2 items missing from their order. TERRIBLE customer service and terrible food quality. If you know when your busy times are and they happen every year, be prepared for it, as this is your business, this is how your business makes money. Don't blame the customers who are calling to obtain the...

We've gone there a few times. We've gone to a lot of other Chinese Food Resteraunts. We always have take out and it is usually a big order. There was a couple of times they didn't give the 10% off. All the other Chinese Food Resteraunts that we went to gave us a free entree and the 10% off. This time they didn't give us either and on top of that they overcharged us. I went back to get a refund and she said that we ordered Pork, and we don't order anything pork except for the Pork Dumplings and Seafood which I am highly allergic to and pop and the pop we have plenty of at home. Which is an absolute lie. They have lost our business unless they give us a full refund. Also, when we order Chinese Food from the other Chinese Food Resteraunts it lasts for 4 days, there food starts smelling bad the following day!!!! Stay away from them, they are thieves!!!!! When we were last there a customer complained that in his take out order the egg rolls were completely cooked. Other action will be taken against the resteraunt, maybe even...

I'm not familiar with restaurants in the west end of the city. Thankfully my friends suggested Rishun for lunch. Their lunch specials were delicious. If you like traditional dishes like beef chow fan, Singapore noodles, chicken chow Mein, sweet and sour boneless pork this is the place to go in Callingwood. Next time I'm in the west end I would visit Callingwood Farmers market first and head over to Rishun for lunch. I'd like to try their entrees on their dinner menu. I believe it's a family owned restaurant. When I was there, two elderly ladies were wrapping Zongzi (Joong) for their family. They were very sweet letting me watch them wrap these traditional rice dumplings and giving me tips on how to wrap them. The day we went it was pretty busy for lunch. Since this is a family restaurant, they don't have a lot of staff but they do their best to prepare and serve the food to their patrons with a smile. The food is worth the wait.

October 2023: Tried this small neighborhood restaurant just this year and we've been coming back for more than 6x already. The food is exceptional! They're very good with deep-fried dishes as their batter is light and crunchy. The serving size is good - can't complain about that. Although the restaurant is a bit dark inside and could use a renovation, it doesn't take away the excellent service the 2 staff/waitresses have always provided us. They've been very friendly and accommodating. Update: after coming back a few more times, I could confirm that their serving time is very slow. Expect to wait half an hour or more to be served. Or 45 minutes to 1 hour to pickup your food even if they tell you when to pick it up.

FOUND A BIG PIECE OF WIRE IN MY SINGAPOREAN NOODLES WHEN I REACHED HOME, COMPLIMENT OF THE CHEF AND THE ESTABLISHMENT. Probably drove the chef mad because I wanted my takeout ready by 11:30am. I placed the order the night before and the lady who took the order thought it's not a problem. Anyway, the food was not ready by the time I stopped by after 11:30. WILL DEFINITELY NOT ORDERING FOOD FROM THEM OR EATING THERE. OWNERSHIP HAS DEFINITELY CHANGED FOR THE WORSE EVEN IF THE OWNER DENIED IT. WAITRESS ARGUED WITH ME ABOUT GETTING 10 FORTUNE COOKIES AFTER I ORDERED OVER 5 DISHES FOR TAKEOUT. She wanted to charge me for them. The owner gave us 10 fortune cookies at the end.
