I was excited when I saw they were building a Popeyes in my area. Tonight on my way home from work I stopped to pickup dinner, and lunch for the next day. Unfortunately this was a mistake and will be my first and last visit.
I had one person ahead of me which was fairly quick. I asked for an 8 piece chicken strips, just the chicken no sides. I was told that it only came in a meal so I agreed and ended up purchasing the meal for $35. I then waited patiently for them to complete the order. It wasn't busy, but more steady. As I am waiting I see on the menu that there is actually the 8 piece chicken strips, just the chicken for $24. Rather than go through the hassle of pointing out the mistake I just let it go.
After 20 minutes of waiting, and 2 customers that came in after me and ordered larger orders getting their orders and leaving I approached the counter and asked where my order was. I had to tell her 4 times what I had ordered while she dug through a stack of old receipts. There was maybe 5 orders in the time from my order to that point.
Turns out she gave my order to the person that came in after me and had already left. By this time it is about 25 minutes since I ordered and I said that I wasn't waiting for them to remake my order and that I just wanted my money back. She ignored the request and tore apart someone else's order to get the chicken strips for my order. Rather than cause a scene and insist on getting my money back I just left it alone and took my order which was someone else' s order torn apart.
I left after more than 30 minutes in the store unhappy. To further cause annoyance, I arrived at home to find out they only put 7 chicken strips in the order so they shorted me one. They can keep that chicken strip, its not worth the headache of going back to sort it out.
Any sort of customer service would have been appreciated. Even something as simple as saying, "Here's a small cup, grab a fountain drink for free on us and take a seat while we sort this out and bring you your order." Anything to put a positive spin on it, but I felt like I was being a hassle and they just wanted...

Folks, I was here at drive through last night, picking up my online order and I realized I accidentally ordered Hot Wings instead of Parmesan ones, called my son and he said no to hot wings, I decided to put a new order for the wings but also wanted to check if Popeyes can do something about it. So I asked the person bringing in my order, Victory came to the window all smiling and about to hand over my order, and I politely asked ‘I accidentally order wrong flavour of wings, is there anything you guys can do to fix it for me?’ , Victory gulped the word No and said Yes and went back and quick checked with Manager on behalf of me and suggested we will be able to replace one order for you. OMG! It was not expected at all, we customers come so hard on associated when things are not done right, this moment gave me a lesson to learn to be empathetic and forgiving. The kindness of Victory and nice gesture made my day! I mentioned how sorry I was to even request this adjustment at first place.
Hats off to Victory!! Good Job!
I hope I can come polite when Popeyes don’t do my food right next time :) I am yet to experience a moment when I feel to write good related to food at this location. It’s coming up...

For not the first time, some chicken tenders did not appear cooked through. There were way too many pink spots in some of the tenders. The tenders were also cold.
The fries were also lukewarm, soggy, and somehow flavorless?! Despite us having to wait for our food....
Additionally, we ordered a platter with both sides being fries - and we only got 1 side of fries. I should have known to check our food or ensure I got a receipt but I didn't, especially since this was not the first time they got our order wrong.
The only things that did not cause an upset stomach or a sad face were the blackened ranch and biscuits 😑
