Second and last time I'll be at this location, Calgary trail location is much much better with way better staff. Ordered a cheeserburger omelette with bacon through skipthedishes on Oct 2, 2017. Upon receiving my order I realized it was missing one of the main ingredients (Pickles), it was like ordering the big steak omelette and forgetting the steak, so I called to complain, the manager kept saying there's nothing they can do. really??? So I offered to come and exchange it myself, despite already paying a delivery fee and it was windy with pouring rain outside, and I would have to bring my 4 kids with me. They assured me my food would be ready when I arrived but I would need to bring the old omelette with me and receipt (I guess to corroborate my story), even though it was purchased 30 mins ago from a completely empty IHOP.
So I get there they take the old omelette back, which is a waste of food, they might as well have let me keep it. The manager offered no compensation for my inconvenience, and was very aloof, lacked people skills, and good customer service. You know the type of person just makes excuses so she wouldn't have to do anything or makes things seem unneccesarily difficult to deter you. So I get home to find they replaced the pickles and forgot the bacon which I paid extra for. Super annoyed!!!, I didn't bother to go back.
Please replace management and do another inservice with kitchen staff. What a mess! How do you mess up an order twice in a completely empty restaurant. Baffling...Also portion sizes vary a lot for the same dish, the steak tips never have enough gravy/sauce so they're dry, (supposed to be savory!) and as other have mentioned there isn't much meat in the omelettes.
Only positive is that there's an alternate location. Hope things get better as this location is...
Read moreI’d like to start of by saying I’ve only left two reviews in my life. There was a time I ordered perogies at Swiss Chalet and bit into one and searing hot potatoes went onto my lip and burnt it and I was just told “oh sorry that looks bad,” and was told to use my napkin and that was it, and I Still didn’t leave a review! Maybe it’s because once my swollen painful lip healed the food was still delicious (at full price).. maybe I should have sued them who knows. Anyways this IHop started out great when it opened. We’ve been regulars since opening day, when the Hearty ham and cheese omelette was on the menu. The service and food was impeccable. After four months and new staff it went downhill. There was less and less hosts on busy days and the food was put together sloppily, and the waitresses looked like they didn’t want to be there. Anyways today I went and got a bacon temptation omelette and there was a long black hair nicely intertwined in my omelette. Normally I would just cut it out but it stretched throughout, over half the omelette. So I asked them to take it back and said sorry I don’t mean to be a bother. It came back a few minutes later, but it came back with a new 2 egg omelette on top of the old 4 egg omelette!! GROSS. How could I tell? The top egg was burning hot and the bottom egg was cold. Also there was no white cheese sauce in the middle... this was my main complaint. There was an eyelash on my pancake as well which I removed and didn’t eat that portion, and my coffee was cold and tasted watered down, but really it was the omelette that threw it off for me. I paid full price for everything... I’ll never go back... and I don’t care about “I’ll offer you this,” no thank you, I’ve lost my appetite and you’ve lost my...

“I was contacted by the Store Manager who took full ownership of the quality issue and promptly addressed it. Their professionalism and attention to customer care were truly appreciated. I also received a gift voucher as a gesture of goodwill, which reflects their commitment to customer satisfaction.”*
I usually love going to IHOP, but the quality at this location has been dropping noticeably — and it’s really disappointing. I placed a pickup order recently, and almost everything about it felt like a rushed afterthought.
The blueberry pancakes were barely cooked evenly, and the blueberries were thrown only in the center — the rest of the pancake was plain and dry. The strawberry banana pancakes came with just a sprinkle of fruit, nowhere near the amount IHOP used to serve. And the breakfast potatoes? Tiny portion — barely half of what a regular dine-in order would include.
On top of that, no butter was provided with the pancakes, and the amount of maple syrup included was minimal — definitely not enough for a full pancake serving.
To make it worse, I paid for fresh orange juice but got what clearly tasted like a bottled, bland, supermarket version. If you’re going to charge for premium, you need to deliver premium — not cut corners.
This was a pickup order, and honestly, if you can’t uphold quality standards or proper portion sizes in to-go orders, maybe pause online ordering until you can. As someone who used to enjoy IHOP, I can’t recommend this...
