Recently visited Rangoli Kitchen and Bar to celebrate our anniversary, and while the location and interior were impressive, the overall experience was a bit mixed. The restaurant has a beautiful, modern ambiance with a well-thought-out layout. It seems like a relatively new place, and theyāve clearly invested in creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, when it came to service, things didnāt quite match up to the setting.
The evening started off with some delays. I ordered a beer, but after a wait, the server came over to let me know they were out of stock. Moments later, she brought me a bottle instead of the draught I had requested. By then, we had already finished our appetizers. It wasnāt a huge issue, but it set the tone for a slightly awkward start.
We ordered the Chicken Biryani for our main course, and I specifically asked if it was Hyderabadi Dum style or North Indian. The server confirmed it was Dum, but what arrived was a dish of curry chicken mixed with rice. True Hyderabadi Dum Biryani is distinct in its preparation and is traditionally served with both raita and salan, but we were only provided raita. The flavor was fine, but it wasnāt the authentic experience I was hoping for.
There was also an issue with the soup pricing. I noticed the charge was incorrect, and when I mentioned it, the server said it was a system error and that she couldnāt do anything about it. It wasnāt a huge discrepancy, so I just paid, but it added to the sense that the service could be better managed.
The staff was generally polite, but it seemed like many of them were students working part-time. While I donāt mind this, the lack of experienced servers or supervision was noticeable. For example, water was left on the table without being poured for us, and no one asked if I wanted another drink during the meal. If they had, I would have happily ordered another round. Small touches like this really affect the overall experience. The servers also appeared tense and unsure, with little to no smiles or confident interactions. The one exception was the lady who seated us; she was friendly and welcoming.
Overall, Rangoli Kitchen and Bar offers a nice environment and decent food, but the service needs work. Great food canāt always make up for poor service, though mediocre food can often be forgiven with attentive and passionate service. The owners clearly care about the ambiance, and I hope they invest in training their staff to match that level of quality. People donāt just come for food; they come for an experience, and itās clear this is a place where you want to create memories. Iāll give them another try in the future, hoping that they improve on the service side. Best of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the manager, Manoj, who set the tone for what became an unforgettable visit. Manojās professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care for his guests truly stood out and made the evening feel extra special.
What impressed me most was the way Manoj went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He personally checked in at our table multiple times, making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was exactly to our liking. His ability to balance friendliness with professionalism is a rare quality and one that makes guests feel both valued and appreciated. Itās clear he takes great pride in his role, and that passion shows in every detail of the dining experience.
The staff, under Manojās leadership, were equally exceptional. They worked seamlessly as a team, providing prompt service with warm smiles. Each dish was delivered with care, and the attention to detail was evident in the way the food was presented. Speaking of the foodāabsolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor, and the variety on the menu offered something for everyone.
It is not often that a restaurant earns a full 10 out of 10 from me, but this one truly deserves it. The combination of Manojās outstanding management, the incredible staff, and the mouthwatering food made this an experience I cannot wait to repeat. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for top-notch service, amazing flavors, and a manager who truly exemplifies hospitality at its finest.
Thank you, Manoj, for making this visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStrangely chatoc service but food is just good enough. We walk in, we're greeted, seated all ok. Rightaway we notice several tables dirty, cleaning chemicals left out. Not very inviting. Interior is a bit too much and loud, nothing warm about it. Our server took drink orders and was bartending himself. Got my drink, and got my wife's drink 15 minutes after then apologized for delay. We could easily see him blending a few batches then tasting with his colleague behind bar. We felt like lab rats. Our servers strangely changed mid way. Then the first server wouldn't know if we ordered the next course. Same cutleries came to our table twice. There seemed like a gentleman wearing suit, looked like some manager but that man cannot smile to save his life. Basic hospitality. Food is good, the only savior but DO NOT go near biryani. It's disgrace to this classic. This biryani is sinfully bad. It's so bad, they should take it off the menu today.
Tips: A restaurant cannot lose its presentability in cleanliness and service even if it's the last hour especially when your prices are so high. Teach your servers to maintain table accountability. Never to swich servers, it's so basic. Drop menu items that you won't pay for your self as owners. Our servers kept visiting table saying. I'm here for bite check. That's such a strange thing to say. Table touches have to be genuine. Let your floor managers, introduce, smile, eye contact, lead or don't have...
