I just ordered a large royal pizza from Hys Center and the pizza only has ingredients in the center. Asked for extra cheese and it looks just like a regular helping. I was not going to order at this location because of the bad reviews but decided to give it a try and was very disappointed. Very few ingredients ! People need to pay attention to the reviews regarding this Royal pizza at this location because I paid almost $40 for a large pizza. This location is skimping on the ingredients and the extra cheese when the order is placed. That's not good business for long time paying customers and loyalty to this pizza chain. I called and complained and was told they would deliver another pizza but it would probably be same and the girl taking the order was very argumentive with me as well. When people are paying good money for quality that's what should be delivered. I have lost respect for this pizza chain all because of there deceptive tactics. "Not the high quality service that I was accustomed to and expect from Royal Pizza.
Hys center Royal pizza just delivered me a new pizza and it was exactly the way it should have been to begin with. It was simply perfect and done to the high standards of the Royal pizza chain. I really do appreciate the owner correcting this problem in a timely manner as agreed to. " Big shout out to the owner for such great customer service and do diligence on this matter " !!

I contacted Royal Pizza Hys center and they refused to deliver a pizza to my home. This situation has everything to do with my last order a couple of weeks ago or so. I order a large Royal special with double cheese as I have done for years and the pizza was not up to the standards of Royal pizza. This particular location skimped on the ingredients and the extra cheese was obviously not present. I reported this situation to this email and was told that someone would be in touch with the owner to rectify this situation. Also, I reported the girl who took the order at that time because she was being rude to me. Subsequently, the owner of the location did send a replacement pizza and that particular pizza was exactly how it should have been in the first place. I did return the other pizza to the delivery Driver. I phoned today to order a pizza from this location and the same girl said that they would not deliver any pizza to me any longer because of the situation in the past. This is totally unacceptable for this location to do this to me just because I reported that past situation to you and they had to give me a replacement pizza . This is retaliation because I made a report about the service in the past. I am going to post this to social media if I do not receive a response because this is certainly not right and wrong in every way people could possibly imagine.
Royal Pizza is a franchise ! They have to comply with certain requirements and follow established rules and protocols.
Franchise owners are required to follow all the rules and procedures contained in a somewhat set standard of a 300-500-page franchise operating manual.
There is a procedure for almost everything; from employee orientation and training to the specific steps your staff needs to take when dealing with customer problems and more.
That being said, a franchise is obligated to deal with customer problems and/or dissatisfied customers with integrity, professionalism including without malice and ulterior purposes.
My situation was not dealt with professionally. Instead it was dealt with retaliation and malice all because I wanted the product (pizza) exactly as it should have been in the first place.
Once again, if this truly is head of customer relations my advice would be to handle this situation in a timely and professional...

I typically really enjoy Royal pizza and have never had any issues at the Strathcona location, sadly I was forced to order from this one as I needed delivery, I thought it would be similar standards across loctations. This however was terrible.
The french poutine arrived and the fries were not only burnt and extremely old, but tasted foul. I called the restaurant to inform them and asked to speak to a manger, First I was told the manager was busy. So I brought up my complaint to the server.
The server then started to defend the poutine and say its because of delivery, the fries get a little soggy in transportation. I've ordered this pretty regularly though not from this location.
The fries have never been this foul. I let the server know that I that's obviously not what happened here, the order was also half full in the container. (Typically royal pizza fills to the brim).
I asked instead to speak to the manager and that I would wait and then was informed that no manager was around. Which is pretty frustrating to hear since first I was told they were busy.
What obviously happened is someone took a lazy way out and rather then make real or fresh fries severed old stale fries because they didn't want to make new ones (They even looked re-heated, which typically means they were cooked got cold then deep fried again which usually gives a really bad taste).

They offered a credit for $10.00 dollars but at this point this restaurant is not worth visiting. Please go to another royal pizza and not this one. I will not...

Awful service at this location. Waited for 30 minutes in an empty restaurant for my order while watching skip orders head out a regular pace and the staff person stand around talking about all the intimate details of her family and their problems with the only other customer there. When I finally had to leave to go back to work, I asked the waitress to pack it up instead and she brought an empty box and left it on the table. Then the box wouldn’t close. Then the tap machine didn’t work properly. Then I waited a while longer while she went to find a box that closed. When I finally took my pizza and left she called out “have a great night” in a super snotty voice which is when I finally turned and asked her what her problem was. She claimed I’d only be there 20 minutes - math is hard for some people but I fail to see how 5:15-5:45 equals 20. I was so disgusted with the whole experience I put the pizza back on the counter and asked for a refund which she then refused. And then said if I didn’t leave she would call security. Hope the owner reads this. They should know the staff person at the Hys Centre appears to have completely lost her mind. Won’t EVER go back, and I’ve been a Royal Pizza customer since 1996.
