This was a great lunch indeed !!! Wonderful flavours and spices in this chicken dish! The accompanying rice was just delicious! The accompanying spice dip was a bit too spicy hot for me but extremely flavourful! The small side of salad had a very tasty dressing that I enjoyed. There was too much in this order for me to eat in one sitting. The owner approached me and we had a nice chat about food of course , very very nice lady! I’m excited to return and try the other offerings on her menu … this is a great place to eat. The only downside was that there were a few flys buzzing around me and my food and I just find that very annoying but I do understand it’s sometimes difficult to prevent. And , no fault of the restaurant but other patrons blaring out loud their cel phones behind me watching “ You Tube Videos” so pitiful that these guys cannot put their phones away when dining , or at least have some common courtesy and spacial awareness. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. Was nice to try some delicious Somali food after such a long time!

We tried the Lamb Shank along with the Goat dish (can't recall the name). The rice with the Lamb Shank was delicious and infused very nicely with seasonings as well as the drippings from the Lamb itself. For the Goat dish we asked for the flat bread l the two also worked well together.

For appetizers, we got the beef samosa and mandazi. The samosa was different (obviously) from the Indian variety I grew up with, but nonetheless, it was still very pleasant! The pastry is a lot thinner and has a really nice crisp to it.(My wife liked it since it wasn't actually brimming with red chili flakes 😅).
