So here we are first time eating here! Highly recommend by the front desk staff at the Home 2 suites were I stay on a regular basis but never found time to come in and enjoy this place! Started with the Broccoli Fondu on crusty bread was very good and not overly bearing which was what it expected due to the cheese fondu part! I actually would find only one issue with this as I found the fondu part not hot rather luk warm at best! Still good but surly the fondu must be hot!! Next the Cajun ribs with mash! They are great but just a hint too spicy. I squeezed a zest of lemon over them and it changed them in my opinion for the better! The serving was large and I could not finish the plater even though I was truly hungry! Finally cream brûle! Excellant no other words required! Let’s not forget my favourite part a cold Guinness! One and only one negative point even though the place was most definitely not busy I had to ask two times for a glass of water which sound like the easiest thing not to forget. Final and last point of you stay at the Home 2 Suite you get a 15% voucher nice to save money on a good meal!

In the heart of the bustling DoubleTree hotel, one finds an unexpected culinary haven - Stages. The restaurant's open layout offers a lively atmosphere, though a more secluded section caters to those seeking intimacy. Our server, Tee, was a beacon of hospitality, ensuring our needs were met with a warm smile. The menu, while diverse, had its highs and lows. The Carbonara was a comforting classic, and the Salmon, albeit slightly overcooked, was still enjoyable. The Stir Fry, however, lacked the punch of flavor one might expect. The Calamari, unfortunately, fell short with its slightly soggy texture. Yet, redemption was found in the desserts. The Crème Brûlée was a delightful dance of rich creaminess, and the Cheesecake did not disappoint. While the service could have been more attentive with drink refills, the overall experience was pleasant. Stages offers a professional dining experience that, with a few tweaks, could truly shine.

wanted to brag about eating here, but the truth is I’m not from Alberta I’m not used to eating raw meat. Today I had to tell the bartender to tell the cooks it’s okay to cook my meat a little longer. I’m not rushing them. But for 3 days every thing I ate was under cooked 😔 I ain’t trying to catch a tapeworm and for 3 days and 3 meals I had to send my food back to be cooked longer. It looks fancy but they rush their food here. If you’re from Alberta and can eat raw meat I’m sure it’s a good place. But I’m not from Alberta and I don’t eat raw meat. Even for breakfast I tell the waitress I want over hard eggs no slimey eggs. Tomorrow is last chance I hope they get it right. Looks great but the meat is always under cooked. I’m sure if you’re from here it’s great but I’m not from here. Ask for medium well and get rare 20 seconds away from being blue

During taking breakfast I was sitting in table for few moments as I have to go to the room, the coffee server didn’t listen properly that I asked small portions of black and she filled up my full big mug ( they didn’t have small mug for coffe), when I requested again she give me a look that I did crime by asking little black coffee. Her eyes became so big that she never heard of black coffee in Canada. She was making joke of me, and telling her few very regular customer and laughed at me, also I was worried about my kids. They were doing delay unnecessarily. And lastly I had to leave all the food in table and move back to the room and suddenly I found my daughter in the lobby and she was so upset and receptionist said their cleaner found her upset and out of the room. The coffee server was a black lady ( I feel bad to say that as I have. A lot of African friends in Canada ) and wearing a specs, she has curly nice hairs too. I am just telling to aware you people. Later I came to know from my husband, that the server was angry because I said my husband that I didn’t like the hotel n this restaurant because they don’t understand...

I organised a surprise dinner for my partner at Stages and I would like to pass on my good review and gratitude to Restaurant Manager, Shashank and team. I went to the hotel a week before to find out my options for dining, and I was greeted by Shashank who said for my party size I could use the back room of the restaurant where they usually serve the breakfast. I wasn't expecting to have such a big space given to us and free of charge so I was already impressed. On the night, we setup a large table and had someone come in to decorate and place a photo backdrop, all of which Shashank oversaw and was happy cooperating. During the night of the surprise gathering, we were given a private table in the bar for pre-drinks and nothing was too much bother for them. We were served by the lovely Ruby , who was so professional and very helpful and even delivered glasses to our room afterwards. We had a cake served free of charge to blow out the candles. We felt very well looked after by the staff at Stages and by the hotel as a whole. The food and drink were wonderful. Thanks again...
