Square 1 Coffee - Mayfield — Restaurant in Northwest Industrial

This was my first visit to Square 1 Coffee and will likely be my last. There was nothing wrong with my order and the individual making it was friendly. However, feeling ridiculed is something I didn't sign up for. There is a staircase that looks like access to more seating in the cafe but actually leads to a private office. There is no clear signage and no communication from staff. When my friend and I went up the stairs we saw that it was a private office and immediately went back down. We were confronted by another individual who proceeded to ridicule us as if we should have known it was a private office. Luckily, another customer said to the individual that it's not very obvious after we apologized for the mistake. The individual replied that there should have been a sign and left the cafe area. Many customers before us had gone up into the private office yet we were the only ones that were spoken to. I would suggest that if spaces are not intended for customers you should've prioritize getting a sign up or have staff communicate that to...

Perfectly pleasant experience! Delish coffee and chai (they make their own concentrate,) good milk choices, and friendly service. Very small space (seating for only a few people) in the shop itself, but lots of attached space. I liked that the iced coffee was served in mason jars!

The only things we didn't love were: parking wasn't intuitive: we drove around a few times and parked in a semi-adjacent unmarked parking lot; the smell from the bathroom was strong: sort of like a portapotty smell even in the seating area; the front door slams hard when people come and go and it was disruptive and made me jump each time. None of those warrant taking off a star, and won't stop us...

friendly staff, few seats, good cookies and drinks, both times i went was -20 outside sitting in the cafe area itself was really cold but only area with an outlet, lots of seating in bigger open area but doesn’t seem that heated it was still cold in there but no outlets and tables and chairs are not really for doing work on or study sessions - nice place to meet a friend or quickly grabbing a drink. not sure about parking there seems to be parking right out front but only two spots, had to park by the street which was hard to get out with so much snow...
