The person taking my order was rude for no reason. It was early in the morning around 7:40 am, no line, no rush and all I did was politely ask for some ice because I forgot to mention I wanted iced coffee, yet she acted like I asked her to redo my whole order. Instead of just helping, she literally rushed me, yelled at me saying "open up, open up". When I told her to calm down I just wanted some ice in my coffee and it's not a big deal, she had the audacity to say, "next time say it earlier." ! literally just forgot to say it. Am I not allowed to forget?? I wanted to snap so badly, but some people are not worth the effort. You should really look into this matter because there's literally no excuse. There's no rush, no customers behind me, no reason to yell at me, when all that's there to do is give me some ice and I'll be on my way. I didn't come in with an attitude, didn't give an attitude even after she's been rude to me the whole encounter. How hard is it to just put in some ice into a cup. Do u need a whole module of training to put some ice in the cup? Do u need a whole day to put some ice in the cup? Do you need a whole team meeting to put some ice into a cup? It’s literally minimum effort that wouldn’t take up a minute of her time. If these are the kind of people your hiring team has been hiring, I suggest you put in serious effort into the reformation of your whole team. My day didn't even start and it was already ruined just because I asked for some ice...
Read moreAt a measured average of about 3 minutes per customer in the food line and (surprisingly) about 2 and a half minutes in the coffee line if there are 20 people in line the wait will be about 1 hour for the food line and a little less for coffee.
However, since people regularly leave these long lines because of wait times one can expect to move through the line at a slightly faster pace.
Now, considering the average amount of time for a customer to spend in a fast food restaurant is about 5 and a half minutes (queuing time and prep time included), one can quickly see that anything longer than 10 minutes (double the time we have become accustomed to) is going to strain the patience of the average customer.
This particular location processes customers at about average pace. The trouble is the very long line which very quickly makes the wait time increasingly undesirable for the customer (and probably the staff as well).
Tim Hortons is throwing away money since customers leave the lineup because of long wait times. They attempt to mitigate this with a second cashier, but the second cashier is only available less than half the time.
I offer no solutions because I wrote this waiting in line and don’t have time. Self serve coffee stations would cut this problem down considerably but COVID...
Read moreI come around here almost every other week. Same thing. Extremely long line (it took 30minutes) . One person on till. One person on food. Triple O's and the sushi place are currently closed today for renovations. Kids are studying for exam. When I got to the top and asked why they only have one open? The reply was "supervisor is busy, other person on break." I got my food stayed and ate there. One hour has passed. Same person on till. Same person working food. Line up is LONGER. I ask the food prep nicely why there is still only one till open when there are 50 ppl in line. She said she'll get another to open. It still hasn't opened.
Now don't get me wrong. The food is satisfyinging. But I feel for these students who should be studying for their exams but instead have to wait in line. I don't know what the supervisor is doing but I don't think...
