This location is the neighbourhood Chinese resto for Westbrook Village that we have regularly frequented since 2019. It is a good place to take small to medium-sized family and friend groups when you don’t want to make dinner, however not that well suited for large groups due to the physical layout. Service is incredibly fast, accurate and very polite. We have been here so often that the servers know us and now get our drinks and cutlery immediately after (or before) we sit down and usually before asking! 👍🏾❤️. The photos show our typical default dine-in dinner choices: chicken and mushroom congee (#410 large), stir-fry flat noodles with beef in soy sauce (#914), garlic sautéed gai lan (#859), and salt-peppery fried tofu (#853). We have had these many times, sometimes as take out, and they are always delicious; I recommend these four dishes as go-to’s. Additionally we have had lots of other dishes including bbq pork and duck, dim sum items, wonton soups, hot pots, other noodle dishes, Yeung chow fried rice (#920, this one is really good), house special fried noodle (#901, another very good choice), other fried rices, and various dumplings, spring rolls, and some chef specials. Overall the food is very good and served up very fast. It is a very solid choice in the area although there are comparable-to-better (tastier) Chinese restaurants in the GVA. However, we will be back often as our default dinner place on days we don’t want to cook. Recommended to take visitors, family, friends. Only two points to consider (for management): (1) Prices are higher than average, and (2) More wontons should be given in the soups (please!).

Mixed experience here. Service depends on who you get. I don't speak much Chinese but my companion is Chinese and fluent so did all the talking. Waitresses are usually the less service oriented staff, but the managers are usually better at service especially the guy we talked to. Our first dish was congee. Forgot to take a picture, but it looked good. Tasted was a different matter as it tasted burned, as in the whole pot of congee was burned on the bottom so every bowl out of that pot will taste burned. We told the manager and he immediately took it back and brought another bowl which tasted ok on first bite, but after came that burned taste again. I'm betting kitchen to of the top layer and spooned on some congee from a pot that wasn't burned hoping customer would not notice till too late. Told manager again and changed order to wontons. Wontons were huge! Didn't expect this from a Neptune restaurant. They must have more than one burned pot as the soup has a slight taste of that burned pot but not enough to stop us from eating this dish. Will try this dish again in the future. Singapore fried vermicelli, this was the saving grace of the night. No burned taste, not too oily, lots of egg, shrimp and char shiu. Maybe it was the time of night (around 7pm) or time of year (just after Thanksgiving) but this place was not overly busy and immediately got a table on entering. Also was able to easily find free 2Hr street parking nearby. Will come again to give them another chance.

Went there for lunch today: we ordered three items and Jesus Christ the food was disgusting. There was barely any beef in the noodle soup and it’s mostly the beef fat. The noodle also wasn’t prepared well. The corn soup was another horrible dish. Overly salty and the texture was just bad I don’t even how the chef can be working there when they can’t make simple dishes like this. Lastly the sandwich is nasty after taking a bite of it I had to spit it out. It was just horrible my god I don’t know how anyone can eat something like that. It’s so disgusting and gross that I can’t even force myself to chew that thing and I was really hungry. Whoever made those food needs to be reviewed immediately. I would never go back there again. Those three nasty dishes adds up to $52 before tax and tips which pisses me off as well. I can’t believe I spent that money on such garbage food.

Ordered from Door dash. At first their service was okay as they called me to notify me they ran out of the soy sauce chicken with rice. I changed it to another dish, the marinated chicken on rice. After 15 mins passed, they called again to notify me that they ran out of the chicken. I asked for another dish, they did not have it and requested I pay extra for the other dishes (which I did not want to eat anyways). At this point they already wasted 30 mins of my time so I asked nicely if they could waive the 1.50 dollars. They denied this request as it would incur losses to their business (which was a valid reason) so instead, I asked if they could cancel my order and refund me instead. They denied this request and gave me two options. order some other dish (anything within the price range), which I did not want to eat order something else and pay the extra fee

Understanding their situation, I asked if they could just give me the other items I ordered and refund me money for the missing dish. They denied this request, which I found illogical. I was lost for words, the waitress kept suggesting I just comply with their wishes by ordering something else that I did not want on the menu within the price range of the original dish.

By that time, 50 mins of my time was already wasted. THEY DENIED MY REQUEST TO CANCEL THE ORDER OR REFUND ME.... which I could not understand why? The servers were extremely rude. Finally the manger stepped in and decided to waived the fee of 1.50.

The food. The preserved egg and minced meat congee I ordered did not have any preserved egg. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I would definitely not recommend going there again. They wasted my time, the food was only passable, but most importantly their service was horrible. (Except their manager).

If I could give 0 stars I would not hesitate to do so. I do not recommend...
