Cora — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

Asked My daughter where she wanted to go for breakfast today(Jan 30/22) she said Cora’s. Greeted by a very nice hostess. Sat down was rudely asked what we wanted to drink ordered coffee and orange juice. seen my sister in law and as she came to talk to myself and her niece was rudely asked to move out of the way so the rude waitress could set the drinks down. Ordered an omelet and my daughter ordered bacon eggs and fruit wrapped crepe. Food came to table, omelet was a flat round egg poorly cooked with veggies strewn on top. If I wanted poorly done heap of scrambled eggs with veggies, I would have ordered that. As I was watching my daughter eat her food, she pulled a long hair from her toast. I asked her if it was hers, she said no… it’s blonde- which it was. At that point totally disgusted with everything thus far we were done eating. Waitress asked if we wanted to take it home with us I said no, we found a hair, the bill will be fine. She got us the bill and basically suggested in her tone that we should be happy that she took 50% off my daughters meal…

Over priced - underwhelmed - 10/10 would...

first time i went it was Honestly horriable service. My son wanted an apple juice and we asked the lady she left and started chatting to the chef ... which was ok... the she came back took someone else’s order and went back and then chatted with the chef again... turned around and stared at the wall for like 5 mins until the chef gave her food. She brought the food to someone and my husband asked again for the Apple juice. She went to the fridge pulled out a few other drinks, delivered then to the other table and went back to talk to the chef for another 5 mins and came back to our table, by this point I was a little upset and said my son would like his apple juice please. No apologizes or anything she went to the fridge grabbed the juice , talked to her waitress friend and finally after 20mins of asking for a freaking juice we got one.

BUT we went back just to give it one more chance and service was ok... food was great and got your moneys worth. so i change my 1 star to a 3 star. Still needs work but way better...

Love Cora’s, always enjoy breakfasts here and always have great service. One thing to mention though, if you use the restroom make sure you notify staff as today I took my child to the washroom and while we were gone they cleared our table. I didn’t realize this could happen (assumed waitresses communicate with bussers and then they clear tables or I don’t know just didn’t even think about I really) or I would have mentioned it! My bad but just something I feel I should note so others can avoid this happening to them! My daughter was very close to finishing her meal and then we had to wait for it to be remade and by that time she wasn’t even really hungry anymore. They did remake her food, and I opted not to have mine remade as there was only potatoes, toast, bacon and sausage left (in hindsight I should have as my husband does enjoy my leftovers) but she still had 2/3 pancakes to eat so practically her full meal!
