Not quite a five because we didn't have the best of tables (were seated near front entry across from the kitchen door). Nevertheless, service was quick and kind (when our server knew our spoken French wasn't strong, she easily switched to English). Beers were tasty, cold, and fairly priced. The burger choice was huge yet also fairly priced. My only disappointment was the fries. A little overdone, pushing very dark brown with a number of smaller broken fries mixed in. My only suggestion would that you either drop a few of the nonlocally named burgers and/or add a Wrightville burger to honour one of Hull's founding fathers, and add perhaps the General Montcalm to honour his name legacy. Would be honoured to help you develop either of them! I'm so happy that the older parts of Hull still allow neat little restaurants like Le Foubrac, small corner depanneurs, and other community oriented businesses to operate within the residential neighbourhood.

No reservation little hamburger and fries restaurant with good choice of beers. Great dynamic ambiance and staff. Food is consistently good and worth the little price bump. You cannot go wrong with ANY of the hamburgers!Don't hesitate to chose a soup of the day instead of fries if you want a more healthy meal. One downside of sitting at the small bar is that you have constant view of the quite animated kitchen and staff running behind the counter, which is not at all enjoyable if you were planning a relaxing dinner. The remainder of the place is fine. Nice to sit outside during summer. Some care should be put making reasonable cappuccinos, because it's clearly not the commercial machine's fault.

Pictures look great and tasty but the food we got did not reflect it. The fries were a disgusting abomination. They were cold and stale fries that had been refried countless times. Burger was alright for the price. When I brought up that the fries were cold and stale the waitress suggested I upgraded to a Caesar salad and told me it would be an extra charge 🤣 Overall very poor experience both in service and food. Which is a shame because the reviews are good and the pictures look great. But it’s not cool that the food managed to make it by the cook and the server. Look at the picture and you’ll see why I wasn’t thrilled.

I was at the Spa Nordique for the day and checked the Find Me Gluten-free app for a GF restaurant or one with GF options nearby as I have Celiac Disease. Based on the reviews, I chose Le Foubrac.

Cute, little restaurant with a small selection of identified gluten-free menu options. They have a dedicated fryer so the fries are safe which is always a good thing for someone with Celiac :) They have a delicious gluten-free bun option with a separate toaster for their burgers. I was really impressed with the GF bun as there are so many terrible GF breads. This definitely was spot on and no one would guess that it was GF!

I actually spoke with the chef and he was very well versed in Celiac Disease and avoiding cross contamination. He definitely set my concerns at ease. Our server, on the other hand, was lacking in her ability to answer questions or have any interest in checking/asking the chef. It might have been a language barrier issue; although I was more than happy to speak French, and did my best to continue to speak with her in French. She just came off as being disinterested in serving me or wanting to be helpful.

I would highly suggest asking to speak with the chef if you are not fluent in French and have questions because the food here is really good, safe, and it is evident that they take the appropriate precautions to ensure a safe meal. Would...

I’ve been coming to this spot all the time for a few years! The quality of the service and food at this bistro are top notch. There’s not really anything better than in the area. These guys have the bar raised SO high. Fantastic patio service, incredible menu, great and cozy dining room/bar area with a fantastic cosy atmosphere. They support local artists by displaying their work for purchase. They have incredible bartenders and serving staff. There’s food is always to die for! The menu has a large selection of homemade burgers and poutines, plus a decent selection of other dishes. I can highly recommend the club sandwich here, it’s a fantastic twist on a classic club full of great flavours, and excellently cooked chicken breast as the protein. They have weekly (I think it’s weekly) rotation local taps for draft beer, fantastic selection of wine and variety of spirits and liquors.

Lastly, huge shout out to the waiting staff! Everyone is very good at what they do here. But I’d say Juliette is one of the best here. Great table service and a killer bartender! If you came here you will not be disappointed! Thanks for the fantastic hang out spot...
