If I could have given this place ZERO for a review, this is the option I would have taken! LAZY - EXTREMELY LAZY - personnel who deliver food at the curbside area consistently come at the passenger window to hand you food and drinks when you are sitting alone in the driver's seat... talk about a way to INCREASE THE RISK of an accident ...to spill hot coffee or make a mess on the passenger side ! Today... same thing happened and it is not the first time I ask them to come to the driver's side... The young lady who came to deliver my food today responded with an extremely condecending and insulting smirk which was so DISRESPECTFUL toward me as a customer ! She couldn't care less ! (She is lucky she is not working for me because had a staff member of mine done that to any of my customers they would be out of a job in a heartbeat !)
McDonald's : if you BOTHER 'training' staff in ACCIDENT PREVENTION (The risk of causing injuries to staff and your customers) and PROPER attitude toward your customers you ought to take note of this ! ....BEFORE someone gets burnt with hot coffee spilled by a lazy staff member or someone gets upset enough at seeing their dismal attitude they might take offense and someone could get injured someday. . . This is the LAST time I am coming here... I am certain I shall find better, more respectful service ELSEWHERE! ....Oh ! ....and, don't try reaching management by phone to underline the situation to them, they don't bother to answer the phone ! So, as a priority essential worker who does hold concern when it comes to potential risk for injuries, I took it upon myself to go inside and asked to speak to the owner/manager... He did come to speak with me, did listen to my concerns and was very polite and receptive and stated he will have a word with the staff member whom I identified to him. . . Hoping for better days...
Read moreAbsolute disgrace of a location. Came by on a Saturday night and used the drive-thru, ordering in English, only for the employee to pretend to not know what I was saying. I'm sorry, but I've been to various McDonald's in Gatineau where the employees are gracious and courteous enough to take my order even though I don't speak French, and they sure as hell understand what i'm saying. I kept asking to order a McFlurry and the employee kept asking "quoi"?, and this was exacerbated by some numbnut of a customer lined up behind me in the drive-thru cursing and yelling at me to speak French because I'm in Quebec... hey buddy, there are loads of Anglophones in Gatineau given the proximity to Ottawa and the fact that not everyone has the time nor willingness to learn your language. Absolutely no respect whatsoever from the employee and the customer, and I'm sure I'm not the first one to have experienced this kind of ordeal in the sacred land of the French. Lots of English-speaking people could be passing by just wanting to order some food because maybe they're too hungry to wait until they cross the provincial border. Oh and to top it all off, after repeatedly asking the McDonald's employee for a McFlurry, she finally figured out what I was saying and answered "sorry no McFlurry" in PERFECT ENGLISH. Absolutely revolting behaviour, I drove off in absolute disgust. 0/5 if I had the option, but unfortunately a...
Read moreFood was poorly made and the employee who served us was rude. When we looked at our receipt had an unknown charge. When asked the employee automatically charged us a donation fee without asking. I've worked in food service before and I am no stranger to the donation promotions fast food companies do. Normally, when asked to donate I do. But when the charge is automatically applied to my order I find it disrespectful to the customer. When we confronted the manager he did not seem to care in the slightest. The employee was not talked to and she continued to be rude to customers. I do not suggest coming to this establishment unless you'd like to be forced to donate to some unknown charity.
On top of this. We waited 30mins for our food. We watched as other customers were given larger orders then ours. I do not understand. Then about 20mins into our wait, a customer from the drive thru came in asking for his order. He was told to pull over and the employees forgot about it. What is the point of going into the drive thru if you are going to be asked to pull over. This man waited a total of 20mins. This McDonald's is not busy at this time. I am unsure why the wait is so long.
When we got our food. The fries were cold. The burgers were poorly made. Chicken tasted...
