We visited the Pink House Bistro for dinner on our most recent trip to the Sunshine Coast. What a wonderful find, by far our best dining experience during our trip.
Everything was great from the location (we dinned outside on the patio), the friendly and helpful service, interesting and excellent selection of drinks and of course, the great food.
The drink menu is very interesting, they have no alcohol versions of some of their mixed drinks. We tried three of these, all of them were great.
The food was wonderfully inventive. A particular standout was the charred eggplant. It was melt in your mouth smooth and very flavourful. All of the three dishes who chose had very interesting and tasty spices, some of which we had never heard of before. We were a bit concerned that the crispy cauliflower would be greasy but it wasn't - it is served whole so not much oil sticks to the surface. We also had the mushroom shawarma bowl, also highly...
Read moreWe had a wonderful family dinner at The Pink House Bistro during our visit to the Sunshine Coast and we canât recommend this place enough to anyone whoâs in Gibsons or coming through. Lisa and Michael, owners, creators and chefs were incredibly warm and friendly and both the food and cocktails were sensational. We had nearly everything on the menu including Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Fried Cauliflower, Lamb Kofta, and KFC (Kerala Fried Chicken). Everything was incredibly fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. The cocktails were made with a refreshing twist and exquisitely prepared. I ordered several Negroni Eskolit which were delicious and refreshing and would have happily tried several more if we had the time to sit a little longer. I canât recommend this little gem of a restaurant enough! Itâs also beautifully designed and you get to eat or drink while enjoying an amazing view! Do yourself a favour and check out The Pink...

There is a real attention here to ingredients and the subtle mix of flavours. It's there in their home-designed cocktails - each one a deep taste blend and you can get them all with or without alcohol. For food we went veggie that night (they do have lamb, chicken etc) - the falafel was fresh and hot with an authentic spice blend, the baked cauliflower came with a sweet/spicy toping that matched perfectly and the baked eggplant - well, let me just say that I've travelled a lot of the globe and eaten a lot of eggplant over the years, and this eggplant ranked up there with the best of them!
Another reason you'll find it hard to leave here: unlike most restaurant owners, these actually thought about the chairs they use. Really comfy. So order a dessert and...
