Found this spot on Google and absolutely pleased that we did. This cute, modern eatery/coffee shop is located inside what looks to be in a relatively brand new apartment complex, and it not only serves coffee/tea, but also an eclectic variety of food. We ordered a bowl of cream of pumpkin soup, beef kefta sliders, a pesto chicken sandwich, and a soy iced chai. Everything was absolutely delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors all melded well together. We were also blown away by the presentation -- after all, we eat with our eyes first. You can tell whoever's in the kitchen cares about the smallest of details, which customers who are foodies like us, truly appreciate! They also make their bread in-house -- bonus points! The soy iced chai was yummy. I'm sure their coffees are just as great. Service from the owner himself was excellent. He is friendly, communicative, and seemed like an all-around happy guy. He’s got a welcoming spirit about him. Go support local, and grab a bite to eat at this hidden gem!

My partner and I make sure to visit Ethos café whenever we're in Golden and you should too! There coffee programme was wicked. We had a very tasty natural Ethiopian espresso from Holm Coffee and a banging Colombian drip from Rooftop. On the shelf they also had retail bags from Dose Coffee and Alternate Route, so safe to say the selection of coffee to grab is on point! The food was not only delicious, but filling as well. Proper, proper value. You can tell this team cares and everything being local is the cherry on top. Local mushrooms, local greens and local hot sauce. My mushroom on toast was top notch and my partner loved her avo toast which thankfully, was no ordinary avo toast. Service was with a smile, everyone seems to appreciate the space and if you're a family with a young one you'll feel very comfortable bringing your kid in as these people go above and beyond for families. Last but not least.. if you don't leave with a sourdough and croissant, you're doing it wrong!

I recently visited Ethos Cafe and had a delightful experience. The coffee was undoubtedly the highlight—perfectly balanced in flavor, rich, and aromatic. It's clear that they take great care in crafting their coffee. The selection of bread and food showcased a wonderful freshness that was quite appealing. Each item looked appetizing, and I was excited to try more than a few. Unfortunately, we found out they had run out of some of the breads we had planned to buy, which was a bit disappointing. However, the overall experience was still wonderful, thanks to the cozy ambiance and friendly service. I would definitely recommend Ethos Cafe for anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and fresh food. I’m looking forward to visiting Golden again, hopefully, to try the bread that eluded us this time!

This place is the BEST place to go in golden for coffee, brunch, lunch date, baked pastries, sourdough, you name it. Joel, Daphanie and the crew there have bottled lightning and they know what works. Everything they do is quality, and executed perfectly. I spent about a month living out of my truck camper in Golden during the ski season, using their cafe for about four hours every day to work, eat, and consume some of their delicious baked goods.

I cannot recommend this place enough for both the quality of their products and the friendly community atmosphere they curate. This cafe is bound to be a pillar of the Golden community for decades to come.

J+D, if you are reading this, thank you for the hospitality you showed towards "that dude sitting over there with his laptop every day". I appreciated it dearly. I will be back :)

PS, I still have dreams about their Ruben, it's one...
