I've been to Jeffrey's a few times for both dine-in, and most often through takeout. Today was another of those take out days in which I hoped to be in and out pretty quickly. I phoned my order in and picked up my order 15 minutes later. When it came time to pay, the total caught me off guard—$51.19 for nachos and a slice of cheesecake. I paid but requested an itemized receipt to double-check. Reviewing it, I saw a $6 upcharge for dairy-free cheese, which was noted on the menu. However, I was surprised to find an additional $5 charge for… cooking. This seemed odd, especially since I had ordered the nachos for dine-in before and it did not have this charge. Why was it now applied to takeout? I brought this to the attention of the young woman assisting me, and she also found the charge unusual. She went to get the manager for clarification. After a while, she returned, saying even the manager agreed the charge was strange and was going to come speak with me. When no one came after waiting some time, she went to find the manager again. At this point, I didn’t want to wait another 15–20 minutes to ask why I was being charged extra for my food to be cooked. With no one at the customer service desk, I decided to leave. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I understand managers can’t always be available immediately. However, when I called to place my order, I was told it was the only one in the queue. Additionally, the restaurant was nearly empty, with just a couple of occupied tables. This gave me the impression that the manager was putting me off. While the young woman assisting me was kind and professional, the unexplained upcharge and lack of timely resolution left me frustrated. As someone who’s enjoyed Jeffrey’s in the past, this experience has definitely tainted my view.

Came here for breakfast hoping it would somehow much the effort they try to put in with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Been contemplating if I should leave a review but if no one would say anything then they might not do anything to level up their game. Those mason jars need some serious cleaning! Who would want to drink their water out of that filthy jar? Coffee was horrible and waited too long (at least 30 minutes) for our food to be served even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Egg was cold and there was only 2 strips of bacon on the plate for a simple breakfast for $17 and as you can see in the picture, the potatoes were so oily and dead and was too salty too. The Italian turkey sausage was dry whom our server suggested that it’s good ( i guess she has a different idea of good from not) and by the way, she lacks the energy in serving and probably didn’t even bother to pass the message to her manager or people in the kitchen about dissatisfied customer with their food. Obviously just went to work to get paid but no concern for the business to make sure people leave the place happy for a possible repeat customer.

I really enjoyed Jeffrey's! We had reservations for our party of 3 (with a 4th to join later) & were seated in a nice, central booth promptly. The seat was super soft & comfy! Our waitress was great! She was friendly & we didn't wait long to be served. She did have to check a few options when we were ordering as she wasn't sure of certain ingredients/availabilities. But she did get answers & she seemed happy to be doing her job. Our drinks were FANTASTIC! I had 2 different margaritas & both were perfection. I had a frosted apple one & a rhubarb something or other one. I had a chicken burger. It was amazing! With a side of roasted potatoes! It also comes with a nice pickle. Lovvveee pickles. Portions were LARGE. None of us finished our plate, but we're offered containers for leftovers & did take advantage of that. Nice ambiance. Clean establishment. Good service. Love the large windows. There was ample parking available in the restaurant parking lot. All in all, it was a great experience!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Came here for lunch with my boyfriend as we always do and this time we had a TERRIBLE time with a side of PTSD. I had ordered the "daily special" which was the pulled pork sandwich with a side of soup. I asked for my soup to come out first and the server didn't mind. The soup was awesome but when getting my pulled pork sandwich I took a bite and I could hardly chew or even swallow it. It was not edible and was like eating sand paper. I was nice about it and asked if I could just get it replaced with a new sandwich as I had had their pulled pork before but never this dry. The server then requested for me to give back the pulled pork sandwich so she could show the owner in the kitchen. After 30 minutes of waiting, I still didn't get my replacement and the server is nowhere to be seen. As I look over in the kitchen, the server is getting yelled at by the owner with his hands going up in the air. This poor girl was almost crying... after another 10 minutes, the owner then come to our table and explains that I won't be getting a replacement and I still have to pay for the sandwich I didn't eat and took back into their kitchen. His voice was very loud with me and being 5 months pregnant I started to get emotional. He explains that this is not a place to get free meals rudely, and treated us like we were less than. Mind you I didn't ask for a free meal, I asked for it to be replaced, that's it. My boyfriend then steps in and asks him to stop talking to me the way he is talking to me and that it was very unacceptable, he then looks at my boyfriend and yells for us to leave. He then proceeded to ask us to pay our bill which was $80, we were charged separately for our soup and I still had to pay for the pulled pork meal I never got to eat. I have never seen this guy here before, but the atmosphere of the restaurant yesterday was very bad, it is probably because he is there and is verbally abusing his workers any chance he gets, a long with paying customers. As we were getting ready to leave the table beside us were also having the same issue because their salad was not made proper. He then proceeded to tell them they still had to pay for it, again, even though they didn't eat the salad. The lady with the salad also was very upset and he proceeded to get very loud with her. The server then comes up to us with the bill and we proceeded to pay because we felt bad for her, I told her she shouldn't deal with anyone talking to her that way and I asked if she was okay, and she started to cry... we cash tipped her $40 and paid for our $80 meal. We only paid because we were scared he was going to make the server pay for her tables, he seems like the type. This is not how workers or customers should be treated and this owner needs to attend anger management along with learning how to talk to women with child, and his own workers. I feel bad for anyone that has to work for this guy. He has no idea how to run a business and he lost a lot of...

Usually it’s superb but this time it was very off, especially the service. My boyfriend and I came in for lunch and when we entered the building we were waiting to be seated for a while after a couple of employees acted as though they didn’t see us even though they smiled back at me. But when a lady did come along she was very nice and sat us down. About 15 minutes later a server came by and asked us if we had been helped after she had walked by a couple of times. We had ordered a lunch special steak sandwich medium well and a half size of the Italian pesto grilled chicken panini with a side of Caesar salad. When our food came, a different server brought it to us, but it looked amazing like always except the sandwich was missing the chips and pickles as well as it was the wrong sandwich; it was turkey. The steak was cooked over well done and was very tough. When we caught our servers attention I told her about my sandwich and she went to get me a new one but she never asked how everything else was. When she brought back the sandwich the bread was really hot like it had been microwaved. (later on in the day when I went to go eat my leftovers, the bread was very tough) Nobody had checked on us and we never saw our original server anymore until we were done and she brought us the bill and told us that we could go pay at the front. At this time I also had asked for a to go container. When we went to the counter to pay, we had informed the lady that our bill was punched in under the wrong server as the name “Frankie” was on the bill but Frankie wasn’t our server as I know Frankie from school and the lady bluntly said “so what do you want me to do about it?” And we said that we would like to know who our server is because she isn’t Frankie and described what our server looked like and again she looked at us and bluntly said again “so what do you want me to do about it?”. At this time I had told her that I want to know who my server is because I would like the tip to go to my server and not the person who the bill is under and then she responded bluntly again with “well the tips are put into a pile and are split equally”. I feel like this employee should not be dealing with customers and I feel like she could’ve approached my questions in a more professional and more pleasant attitude. In addition, the bill had “1/2 size turkey sandwich” on it.... not Italian grilled pesto chicken panini so this gave me the impression that my order was not taken correctly at the beginning as well.

Yes I can confirm that this was on Tuesday...

Had lunch there with my wife and daughter. My daughter has eaten there many times and enjoyed it. My experience on the other hand wasn’t to pleasant. I ordered a chicken Ceaser Salad and expected a nice garlicky Ceaser Salad with warm grilled chicken on top. Instead I got Romain lettuce with a vinaigrette style dressing on it that almost tasted sweet (like a raspberry vinaigrette dressing), and the chicken was cold with grill marks on it, like it had been cooked the day before or that morning. So when the server came and ask how everything is I said I didn’t like the salad since it didn’t taste anything like a Ceaser Salad, so she apologized and took it away. She then asked if I’d like anything else and I said “no”. She then offered me some Garlic Nan bread to appease my need for garlic and I accepted. It as well had no taste of garlic, and these visits from the server were about 15 minutes apart even though the restaurant was only half full. So when she brought us our bill she said that she discounted the bill for the salad. So I thought that meant she has removed the salad from the bill. NO! She gave me $3.00 off of a $16.00 salad that I didn’t eat because I didn’t like it. If I was at The Keg or Moxies or Earl’s they would have apologized and removed that salad from the bill. By this time I was a little upset (Ceaser salad that tasted like it had raspberry vinaigrette on it and cold chicken, slow service and still had to pay for the salad I didn’t eat). I still paid for the thing left a tip and proceeded to leave. Before leaving my daughter wanted to buy a cookie for her son at their side counter so we waited at that counter for ten minutes 10 minutes before anybody helped us. Finally I called into the kitchen where I saw people working. A man finally came out to help us and I thought ‘this is my opportunity to say something about my meal’, so I did and he proceeded to tell me that “we don’t have the typical type ‘creamy’ Ceaser salad dressing and if you want warm chicken on your salad we would have to charge more money to cook it fresh for each salad and if you want quicker service we would also have to charge more if we hired more staff”. By this time I was fuming (and I’m not the type of person that gets mad) So he finally (reluctantly) gave me the money back for my salad and we left, very disappointed. By the way, he said he was the owner of the restaurant which makes the whole experience...
