Okay pizza, but not worth the terrible treatment you will receive! I work at a medical clinic nearby and we often would order from here for lunch due to the halal options and wanting to support locally. Last Wednesday, we ordered two pizzas. One of which we asked for three toppings to be on the side. The man taking my order repeated back to me, I confirmed. I drove there to pickup for us as they were backed up for delivery. On arrival, there was a woman making the pizza. I confirmed to her three times that there would be toppings on the side, she brushed me off and said “yeah, yeah, yeah”. I took the pizza back to the clinic and we went to have it only to find all the toppings were not on the side, but rather cooked on the pizza. No big deal, it was a mistake. I called back to ask for either just a refund of the one pizza or for it to be remade- they asked me to bring the pizza back which I stated I didn’t have time for. We also had taken a slice of the pizza as one of the staff members was okay with the toppings. The man kept telling me I had to bring the pizza back, he argued back and forth with me telling me I should have checked it before I took it. I told him I repeated the order to the lady multiple times and I was unsure how this was my fault. Anyway, he says he’ll deliver us another pizza Thursday- so I accepted the offer. Thursday comes, noon, no pizza. I call them, he says his delivery guy isn’t there today so I’d have to pick up. Unfortunately I didn’t have time so asked if we could do this Monday now as we were done for the weekend. He says okay. I call back today, the guy has no idea what I’m talking about. He takes my info and a few moments later the owner calls me, only to reiterate to me that this is my fault for not checking the pizza and that I have to go pick it up and he’ll remake it this one time. But he won’t do it again without the original pizza and he doesn’t do refunds and continued to blame me for their mistake. The way this was handled was abhorrent customer service- all he had to do was apologize and just replace ONE pizza from an office that regularly visits this establishment! They have lost our service, the fact that this man argued back and forth with me for pretty well a week over one pizza is absolutely ridiculous- I have never been treated like this at a food place before. Told I’m lying, and given every excuse under the sun- he did everything but give a proper apology!
So while the pizza may be okay, I’d say there are more respectful establishments that you could find to give your hard...
Read more2nd Edit: The Manager had told me they would comp my next couple Pizzas and gave me his personal number. Don't fall for it. He never responds to texts and last night I called and got him on the line. He told me to text him the order and he'd get it to me later that night because they didn't have a driver at the moment. It was a lie. I feel like I've been led on at this point because he didn't like the negative review and he wanted me to change it which I had. I've now restored it to the original score.
To anyone that gets contacted by the "owner" or "Manager" after a bad review, do not change your score until they deliver the replacement order or fix. He's a liar and won't deliver if you change it ahead of time, if at all
EDIT: The Manager, Saf, contacted me to discuss the issue and let me know it was being taken care of and let me know the steps they were taking to not have it happen again. All I needed was someone to acknowledge the issue. I have changed my review score to reflect this.
Second time ordering from this place. Pizza is great. Food gets 5* It's delicious. They offer types of food others don't. Atmosphere gets 5* I got delivery and I'm not gonna tank their score on something I don't think applies. Service gets 1* As I mentioned, second time ordering. It was Friday night. I ordered at 2:18. It said 73 minute wait. That's fine. I placed it. Site said it will be here at 3:31. Sure. Time comes and goes, and it's not here. I call at 3:50 and get told it's out for delivery. I've worked in the industry so I get it. Figure they will show up any second. 20 more minutes go by and I call again. They say they are going to reach out and as soon as I hang up the driver calls saying they are here. Sure this is fine. Things run behind all the time. I pay and get my pizzas. The pizzas aren't even warm. I've worked as a delivery driver. Those hot bags are no joke. These pizzas have been out driving around for at least 40 minutes to be this cold.
So I call again and ask for a manager as I would at least like to have someone pretend to care about my complaint. They said they have no manager there and hung up on me.
In case anyone sees this, I ordered from the store at 10658 82 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 2A7, Canada, Order 842 on 5/31/2024. Feel free to contact me with the info you can pull from the order. I won't be ordering here anymore otherwise. Not because I feel indignant about it, but because I have no guarantee of quality. If I am paying premium, I...
Read moreWorst donair in Canada! I grew up in Halifax (donair is the official food there) so I am very qualified to give this review. Staff were smug, and indifferent. Having never eaten there, I specifically asked how much meat comes in the jumbo donair compared to the regular. He just held up two different sized pitas and replied 33% more meat In the jumbo. Still not having anything to properly compare this to, I took a chance and ordered a jumbo beef donair while my girlfriend opted for the jumbo chicken. Somehow, about 20 seconds after ordering, the chicken donair was sitting on the counter and the second one was done about 45 seconds later. Seemed unusually fast but we were hungry and didn't want to be too quick to pass judgement. We drove home and I immediately unwrapped what appeared to be a decent size portion of food. Unfortunately, 90% of the entire thing was iceberg lettuce (which is not even listed as an ingredient on the menu!!). There was a razor thin lining of some sort of beef-like cold cuts passing as donair meat wrapped around a solid 3-inch-thick lettuce core. They even chinzted on the tomatoes and onions! Oh, and I paid extra for cheese but not sure there was more than a thimble full of mozzarella in there. I took a picture hoping to upload it somewhere on here but I am not sure such an option exists. It came to about $18 for the two items - In the future, I wouldn't pay 50 cents to feed...
