Updated review: I've been back a couple of times, but finding out that Michaels caries Rhodia dot paper (with up to 55% off coupons) gives me less of a reason to go. Recently I went back, but again, didn't feel welcomed. The man working there seemed short with me despite an innocent - albeit naive - question (I asked if they carried German exclusive Diamine inks and he impatiently replied that doing so would be illegal, or something to that effect). To be honest, I don't remember writing my original review a year ago, but looking back, it seems to be one thing that hasn't changed. Furthermore, the prices on inks I buy there are more expensive than online. Don't get me wrong, I like supporting local businesses and hope Stylus stays around for a long time, but I don't think driving out of the way downtown to be treated discourteously and pay more is like my favourite thing to do. That being said, I like having everything laid out before me in an actual store, so the overall experience is positive. Original review: I live in the southwest so it's a bit out of the way, but I love going for Rhodia paper and Diamine inks. I also like that there's actually parking despite the store being downtown. I've had some mixed feelings about the service - sometimes I feel like I'm being ignored (maybe they just don't want to bother me?), but I've also had very good service as well. Reasonable prices and I'm just glad it's here in Edmonton! A bit unfortunate that they don't carry nibs, but there are other places in Edmonton like the Paint Spot, so I don't mind.

One of the best and most unique stationary stores in Edmonton I absolutely loved the owner who is there super polite, super friendly very accommodating such a cute and quiet and relaxing store to just browse and take a look at everything. I really like this simple and beautiful store. They have such a huge selection of European brands as well as small sprinkles of Japanese, stationary notebooks, and utensils. I really am blown away by how incredible this selection was. I can’t wait to get back and grab more of some of the cool things that I saw inside, thank you for being such an amazing host and I think I found one of the best stationary stores in Canada who would have guessed in Edmonton!

I am new to the fountain pen hobby and the staff at this store has been instrumental! The service is incredible! They spent a long time helping me decide which pen I should buy as my first pen, letting me try each one, and then they taught me all about how to use and maintain fountain pens. Then, a few weeks later when I was having a problem, the lady spent alot of time with me trying to fix my pen, and then when it wasn't an easy fix, she had me leave the pen with her and she fixed it. CRAZY GOOD SERVICE!!! They have always been willing to answer my stupid newbie questions, and not make me feel like a stupid newbie!

There are other fountain pen stores in Edmonton, but Stylus is FOR SURE my go to. Their selection is incredible, they're prices are good (in line with what you would find on-line plus shipping) and their staff is incredibly knowledgeable.

DON"T GO...

Fellow fountain pen, ink, white lines, and moleskin nerds! Go to stylus! I have been there several times to purchase various things and the products and the service has always been excellent. They have things for many price ranges, though they cater towards higher end products.

One visit particularly jogs my memory... I was purchasing a gift last minute for a coworker - about 10 minutes before their going away lunch. The woman running the store (Grace, Gracie?) was kind enough to help us wrap the gift. It was wrapped in a old paper sheet from an oversized wall calendar. So, the gift paper just had a giant "18" on one side and a "25" on the other. It was super cool, super kind, and really helped us out.

I have also used their inks for wedding place cards and various things like that. If you are a pen nerd, check them out. You will not be...
