After reading the reviews about this new Korean restaurant in town, I was a little skeptical. The restaurant itself has a really nice vibe. There's a karaoke light show going on on the ceiling in the main area where as the back of the restaurant is a cute little kitchen set up for a larger table. The food, which I'm disappointed to say, was mediocre. I ordered the black bean noodles to test how the food was. It tasted like the ones from a package you would get from the grocery store that you can then make at home. It didn't taste like jjajangmyun at all. There was no fiery taste you would normally get either. It pork was a bit tough so it seemed like it was cooked separately and mixed into the sauce. The texture of the noodles were good, but like I said, the overall dish was bland. I also tried some sweet onion fried chicken we ordered to share. The sauce was good; reminded me of peaches and shrimp sauce, but I wish the chicken was a little crispier. The accompanying rice cakes were a little bland. I wish there was a bit more sauce with it instead of just mostly the cheese. I also tried the samgyupsal. It was a little too soft and not really the same texture you would get from k-bbq. I wish they kept the sauces separate as the gochujang was all I could taste from it. Overall, if I'm looking for Korean food, I would probably go elsewhere. If you're looking for some nice vibes, a place to hang out late at night with some drinks, then maybe this is the place for you.

This place is extremely nice and the staff are very friendly and the food is good but it wouldn’t be fair to rank them any higher than 3 stars based on the only experience I’ve had there. I went there and placed a takeout order for ONE order of chicken tenders and it took 50 minutes to get my order. The food was well made however it was more greasy than usual korean fried chicken places and they didn’t have the option to choose a different cut of the chicken (thighs only) which I feel like is one of the reasons it was extremely greasy as the thigh is a fatty cut and deep frying it only makes it more fatty. The place is very cute on the inside and I did notice that the people that were sat (after I had arrived and placed my takeout order) were served much faster so I think next time I might try and dine in and hopefully it will be a better experience. The staff are extremely friendly however I got asked 3 different times to place my order even tho I placed it as soon as I walked in and I got the vibe that my order was forgotten about (which happens they’re human at the end of the day) and they were very apologetic for the wait I was given a free Milkis as an apology. Chicken tenders 6.5/10 Side of mozza tteokbokki 8.5/10

JMT Korean Cuisine offers an intriguing dive into the world of Korean flavors, nestled in the lower level of a building, providing an ambiance that is both warm and inviting, yet undeniably hip and modern. The decor exudes a sense of coziness, making it an ideal spot for intimate gatherings or a quiet meal. Upon delving into the menu, one might notice a certain thematic consistency. The Raboki, K-Army Soup, and Jjambong, while individually flavorful, bear a striking resemblance in their taste profiles. Each dish carries its own merit, but a broader culinary diversity might elevate the dining experience. The chicken, presented tantalizingly, piques curiosity and promises potential for future visits. While JMT Korean Cuisine offers a pleasant environment and commendable flavors, a touch more variety could transform it from a comforting eatery to a culinary destination.

Tonight was the worst experience we've had so far in a Korean restaurant. The guy that took our order made a mistake with our food. That was not a big deal because it has been dealt with. However, we were eating for almost an hour and we noticed that one of our orders hadn't come out yet. We followed up on our food and haven’t heard anything about it. We were almost done when I went up and followed up about it only to find out that the guy who took our order forgot to punch it in. Yet, we never heard anything about it. We would have appreciated it if servers were transparent about the problem and tried to communicate it with us just like how it is supposed to be as your “BASIC” job as a server.

Conflict resolution skills are not known to these lazy servers, especially the blonde lady who was rude and entitled when I tried to reach out and communicate about it. Her gestures and body language were dismissive, not to mention them eating in front of the front desk with the customers facing them while working. I have received not an update, sorry or resolution but a disdainful look at how she said that it was just a misunderstanding with taking orders. Funny how it should be dealt with the other way around, Your job as a server was to AT LEAST reach out to the customer FIRST, and INFORM them how to settle the conflict because you are indeed a SERVER!

Problems like this are normal in restaurants, only when placed with servers professionally and competently. We left with a night ruined by our experience, with the blonde girl having the audacity to give a insolent smile as we were about to pay our bill. I can say we were unfortunate enough to be put up with these two servers who seemed unknowledgeable and untaught with basic and proper serving skills. Food was average but could’ve been uncared for if service was sufficient. Many more tidy, quick and professional service Korean restaurants are far worth visiting...
