I hate to do this., I really enjoy Padmandi and the amount of good eats and times I’ve taken my friends and exposed them to this great restaurant but their customer service is lacking... a lot. Ordered food the other day (2 entrees) and when I got home I was dismayed to discover the size of what they give for a regular sized portion is very lacking., and I’ll be the bigger person and admit yes I was dismayed because I was used to getting extra protein and veggies but minus the extra protein and veggies which costs a lot I might add, I was only doing it every so often as I am currently unemployed and I wanted to make myself feel better., life is not going great for me right now.. so I thought I would order some padmandi and enjoy some of that to enjoy but the size was so disappointing to say the least., even talking to the manager who seems like a nice lady over the telephone really didn’t go far as she said they preweigh their portions and that’s fine.., but there is nothing in the way of 20% off or a $20 monthly buffet which I was a frequent flyer of and probably will be when they are put back., and I understand buffets are out of the option for covid., but just getting the amount of food for what I paid ($40) and getting what I got I definitely didn’t feel like I want to frequent them. I asked the manager about maybe bringing back the 20% just for customer loyalty and help people cause I’m not gonna lie this is expensive but I was willing to go for the $20 monthly buffet and the 20% off and to maybe get some food every so often. Just the fact that they don’t even fill the container halfway is very disappointing. At this point I will be taking my money to Veggie Garden downtown as they offer better portions (full plate of food) and fair bit cheaper until they decide to bring back some more economical choices and I’m not trying to be cheap, but when your unemployed and getting not getting a lot it’s hard to think about eating out as 95% of my meals are made at home. I was trying to be loyal and support them with the little amounts that I can do, but I’m not impressed with the...
Read moreAs if i didnt already love my favorite resturant and take out, Padmanadi, they are giving out free meals to clients of the Bissel Center now when the weather is -50 snd the Rotten City of Edmonton City Council and the Province has cruelly closed the homeless camps. What a wonderful thing to do Padmanadi and so unexpected in this nasty city where our government plans to kill the homeless this winter. BRAVO Padmandi! I LOVE YOUR EXAMPLE! HERE IS MY ORIGINSL REVIEW. GO THERE! I WILL BE OVER FOR LUNCH TOMORROW. Don't eat the brownies unless you want to bulk up and if you ask nicely they will spice up your dish with some hot Thai chillies. I love the Nasigoring (sorry I can't spell) and Shanghi Noodles and my friend who is allergic to everything likes the jasmine rice and teriyaki chicken which is chicken looking but made with tofu. None of their dishes have garlic which is why my friend can eat their food. I do miss the garlic but not if they will spice up my dish with hot 🌶. The staff and owners are lovely and this is my favorite vegan take out in Edmonton. Very clean and you can see the full kitchen and the bathrooms. I highly recommend it. The prices are quite reasonable when you compare it to garbage food like KFC and a SAD meal at MickyDs. Call them for pick up 10-15 minutes before you get there. Can't be beat. Who needs garlic anyway? I get enough of that at home to last me. Congratulations Padmanadi. Your sit down fancy spot on the north end is lovely, too, but I prefer the convenience of the south side location. If you really want your taste buds blown off, go to the north side and have some spicy green beans which are not on the south side location. NOTHING BETTER IN DeadMANton 💚 the veggies! And the love for our least fortunate citizens. ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️ 😍 💖...
Read moreservice - 10/10 really fast, it will kind of take 2 - 5 minutes for starters to be ready after order taken
price - $$
music is really calm
Maya and Adam are really nice and friendly. gives you really good recommendation.
chai latte 10/10 - froth not airy, dense (has quite a flavor unlike others which is just air), it has light and natural flavor which is really nice.
mocha - 8/10 its really good. you have to mix the froth to have much better taste. (dont be shy asking for teaspoon)
fried oyster mushroom 10/10 - smells like fried chicken, the taste is really good
breaded cauliflower bites - 9/10 there is a bit of spicy kick, cauliflower is nicely cooked, taste better with the dipping sauce (sweet and spicy)
spicy & savoury eggplant 8/10 - much spicer than dipping sauce of cauliflower bites, there is a lot of bell pepper tho (be careful, there is one chili underneath otherwise you will be surprised why it got spicy so fast). its quite good to partner with cauliflower bites or fried tofu.
nasi goreng 9/10 - has nice flavor to it. not overpowering if you'll eat it with the entree. you could also eat it on its own which is great
ginger beef 10/10 - now we know why this is the best seller. it's not the same with the other ginger beef that you taste with other restaurants. this has flavor. you can taste some curry seasoning/powder to it but not that sharp that it will linger...
