EDIT: The owners, in addition to engaging in bait-and-switch pricing tactics, now REFUSE to acknowledge that all vendors have an obligation to advertise accurate pricing. I'm an economist. I know they're costing themselves money by MISLEADING you. Also, they lied about any sauce but tomato coming with an extra charge, it was just the Pesto. Now, I guess, to feel better about themselves, they'll jack the other non-tomato sauces, to cover for their constant lying. They should read the study on Capuchins, currency, and pricing that was done at Yale, but instead these are greedy people who can't deal honestly, and need to make you think you're paying $13 for something they'll demand $16 for. Now onto the original review, less a star:
The wood-fired pizza is solid, if a little underdone, but it's become clear over a series of interactions that ownership will raise prices on items and stop honouring advertised deals WITHOUT changing their menus, and then hope customers won't notice the difference.
This practice puts staff in a difficult position of being bullied by management into engaging in misleading advertising, and makes them bear the brunt of the natural upset that flows from bait-and-switch pricing. I guess pesto costs them so much that they couldn't afford the stickers to update the menu...
It doesn't, and these are greedy children... watch it show up in the product quality soon. These are people who don't know the difference between penetration pricing and pumping-and-dumping product based on building customer goodwill and then squandering it. (Beercade Customers over the past 6 years will know what I'm talking about). I just got to like these guys and already know I'm going to...
Read moreGreat pizzas in the Neapolitan style. Great service.
The best thing about this restaurant is that they don't alter their pizzas too far away from the Neapolitan tradition, just to please the ignorants who don't understand the style.
Plenty of reviews here that just show that the reviewer has no clue: The crust has some char! The cheese isn't browned all over! The tomato sauce isn't roasted with herbs! The cheese tastes like real cheese, not bland mozza! It's soggy and fresh, I want dry and crispy!
Point after point, you are all simply listing the characteristics that this traditional and ancient Italian style is SUPPOSED to have. If you want Domino's, go to Domino's. Leaving a one-star review because you have no idea how this food works is pathetic.
So maybe tonight you should go get some authentic Pad Thai, and leave a one-star review saying there wasn't enough cheddar and breadcrumb on your spaghetti. Or maybe do just 10 seconds...
Read moreWas there last Wednesday as they were recommended by a few people; I wanted to see what the hype was about, and oh boy was I happy we visited! We got there before 6PM and opt for the all you can eat, which was extremely budget friendly, with a huge selection of pizza! Although we got full pretty fast, my best friend and I had to try as many pizza as we could as they were all DELICIOUS!! Artisan style pizza that came out fresh, fast and with mouth watering taste bud popping flavors! The crust wasn’t thick, the toppings weren’t skimped out on, I would dare compare this with Famoso, and happily give Ripe Tomato the edge!
The service? It was amazing! Karan was the one man army, manning the front desk to kneading dough, fanning the blazing oven to serving us, and taking the wonderful time to do it correctly rather than making us feel rushed. Accommodating, and extremely heart warming service! We’ll be back!...
