Cora Breakfast and Lunch — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

I went to coras today around 1135. We got our table in about 10 minutes. It took probably 10 15 minutes for the waitress to come and serve us. We finally got coffee. Waited about another 5 minutes for the waitress to take our order. We where sitting in a table of two on the barrydown street side there was also a table of to not far from us. The waitress never check on us she never came back to see why we did not get our food so after waiting almost 1 hour I went talk to the waitress who was cleaning a large empty table on my right. To see what was going on with our orde. I see her inputting an order on the computer. She comes back and say the order was in the green zone but was never processed. She said we should get our food in another 5 minutes. Wellthen had to wait almost 15 minutes again to get out. My hubby goteggs Benedict with bacon and tomatoes. I had to wait another 5 10 minutes for my order wich was egg cheese and ham in a crepe with fruits. When I got my plate I was missing the white cheese that normally come with it. We wanted more coffe. The waitress never come back with coffe or to check on us to make sure everything was alright with the order. The waitress at the end said we did not have to pay for our lunch. I am quite upset on how bad the service was today. We often go there for breakfast but after today issue it will be awhile before we go there again. This is not...

Ok first I want to specify why there service is at a 3 it's not from our server she was lovely and as efficient as she could be, the service I am upset with is how long it took to get our meals. Now granted the servers had a lot of tables and I think that's why she was a bit slower than normal. But really it was because we sat down at 12:06 and got our food at 1:21. Granted it was busy however people who showed up after us were getting their tables meals first, by a decent margin, they ate and left before we were served.

As for the food it's definitely very good, I had the 2 eggs meal with toast, bacon, and potatoes with cheese(wedges), served with fruit garnish (watermelon, pineapple, and cantaloupe). Not a single aspect of the meal wasn't good it was all fantastic.

Overall I will 100% go back next time I'm in town, there were many fantastic options on the menu I wanted to try, sorry I have no pictures with this post I was so hungry and it was so good that I ate it too fast 😅

Atmosphere was kinda nice, it was just a bit too hectic to give 5 stars but that's just due to them being packed, but the overall restaurant vibe was cool, I love the fruit facts on the TV.

After getting my nails done at a salon next door, I decided to visit Cora Breakfast. Although I had heard good recommendations before, it was my first time at one of their Canadian locations. The experience was positive: the menu offers simple, well-executed options, with dishes served hot, nicely presented, and generously portioned. It’s not extraordinary cuisine, but it’s honest food that delivers exactly what it promises — and sometimes, that’s all we need.

What truly made the difference during my visit was the outstanding service from Steph. Attentive, cheerful, and genuinely kind, she turned an ordinary meal into a special experience. I noticed her care and friendliness with every table she served, showing how dedicated she is to her work. In an environment where being rushed is common, finding someone who still takes the time to be courteous and attentive is rare — and deserves recognition.

If I had a restaurant, I would definitely want someone like Steph on my team. She proves that a sincere smile and good manners open doors and win hearts. I hope she continues spreading kindness wherever...
