Okinawa Sushi — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

I was away on business for a couple of weeks and had the unfortunate displeasure of dining at Okinawa Sushi in Sudbury on Regent St. last week. While the food wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t anything special either. Everything tasted the same. It was either too sweet from the gobs of Teriyaki sauce or too salty from being drowned in soy sauce. The real star of the evening was the abysmal service I received. The lady assigned to our table could have cared less. Never spoke a single word to me other than to ask if I wanted a refill on my drink. Even then, she looked annoyed whenever I said, “Yes, please.” Whenever she brought my food or cleared my plate, I would say, “Thank you.” Not once did she ever reciprocate with a, “You’re welcome.” When she brought the debit terminal over for me, I skipped right over the tip option for the reasons mentioned above, and paid for my bill. Here’s the kicker: would you believe she started complaining to her co-worker just 4 feet away from me about how I didn’t give her a tip?! Priceless!...

We went for lunch for All You Can Eat.🍣🍤 It was our first time at "Okinawa Sushi". The lady who received us was very kind and she explained us very well about the service.

-The cutlery is very nice in a golden color and has the restaurant's logo on it. Food was very tasty, hot and fresh. Desserts are also good. -The staff is very kind and friendly. The Restaurant has a very nice decoration. 2 very beautiful cherry blossoms ornaments Also decoration of "Dragon Ball Z" characters Paintings and a sculpture of "Vegeta" -Very clean and scented bathrooms also a very modern mirror.

Before leaving, we personally congratulate the staff and share our experience at their place.

I would definitely have loved to return but it was our last day in Sudbury but we have good memories of the place and we said goodbye to Sudbury having lunch in a restaurant with very tasty food and very friendly and professional...

Servers really nice. Did not check in often enough though (for example after they forgot our last item, it was 20 minutes before we had to call someone over, with doubts we were remembered). Crowded atmosphere, but well decorated. Got there and table was not clean, had to swipe off crumbs and saw a sticky spot. Also the floor was so slippery, I kept pushing the table by accident, and sliding in my chair. For the food, they drown everything is spicy mayo. Just go to the South End Okinawa, the food is better. Chicken wings were dry, deep fried California roll was not as good as Okinawa, etc... Also, don't put seats near the bathroom. Fire exit was blocked too, pretty sure that one is illegal, or at the least is not considerate in an emergency. Overpriced. $85 for two people (just the all you can eat, no add ons or booze), as if...

P.S. How do you fail at crab racoon (it just tasted like onion). The coconut shrimp had nice sized...
