Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

It was a very unpleasant breakfast this morning. I ordered a spinach omelette and received an omelette with no spinach!! As I was looking through it for the spinach there was also HAIR! They replaced my omelette with another freshly cooked one, but it was cross contaminated with another ingredient that was not suppose to be in it, so I had to return it because some foods I cannot eat. They took the omelette off the bill. The turkey bacon and rye toast was good. The Strawberry banana Crepes I ordered to share with my guests with the original order, was now not shared as it became my breakfast. I have to admit it was tasty after I fought to get my appetite back from the hair in the first plate of food I received and lack of professionalism and health and safety issues from the kitchen staff. The waitress was very sorry—She was pleasant, friendly, patient and accommodating. However she forgot to put on the order that my son wanted Holly homefries so that also had to be corrected. The Hollandaise that finally came was great and they did a great job on that. I was about to be given a future offer since we had a bad experience but we are not from Sudbury and I turned her down before she could finish what she was saying. When we go back to Sudbury we will not be eating here again. In such a large city with so many options, businesses should be more competent about health and safety and not cross contaminating their ingredients, be vigilant about hair, and most definitely ensure that the proper ingredients are in every order before taken out to...

We have literally a perfect review to give after our breakfast experience this morning. The food was excellently prepared and executed, our server was highly skilled and yet also had a very "chill" personality (and yeah, that's a subjective comment, but her personality made for a very calm experience in a restaurant that was rather busy).

Also, they don't have the tables jam-packed next to eachother, which I really appreciated. There's actually space between tables, so you don't have to hear another party's conversation while you are trying to enjoy a meal with your SO.

The only reason I rated 3 stars for atmosphere is that it was a bit noisy, and I have a hyper-sensitivity to that kind of stuff. Most people would likely have no issue with it.

I remarked to my husband that whoever is running that kitchen clearly knows what they are doing. We are both "foodies" through-and-through, and have lived through our share of great places and truly awful places. This place absolutely lives at the top of Sudbury's greatest places list.

We debated not leaving a review, in the selfish interest of keeping this establishment a "well-kept secret". I changed my mind, though, because the more busy they are, the more likely they are to stay in business, and Sudbury definitely can benefit from more quality breakfast and brunch restaurants.

Our server, Kimberly, was truly amazing. She wasn’t over bearing but made sure we had everything we needed. She was pleasant, kind and great to interact with. Food was filing and so tasty. No issues with service or the food.

My issue, though, was the hostess. We were told it was a 40 minute wait - that’s totally fine. We put our name on the list and headed to the surrounding stores. We received a text 23 minutes later that our table was ready (perfect timing, we were checking out). Immediately responded saying we were on our way. We then got a call 4 minutes later to which we answered. All in all, it took us 9 minutes from the time we got our text to the time we got inside. Hostess told us we were “so very late”. We explained to her it was 9 minutes between the initial text and our arrival. She gave us a hard time about it and said they had given our table away. Luckily someone had just walked out so another one opened. I later found out that it’s supposed to be a 15 minute grace period.

All in all, service and food was great, but your hostesses should do a bit better. Was not happy to hear “you’re so very late” and we almost didn’t get a table. We’ve come here often and this is the first time we’re unhappy with the hosts, hopefully it was a 1-off situation. Will be returning in hopes that this doesn’t...
