Came from Woodstock to check out this grimsby location after a friend recommended it. Tried a Tanzanian pour over, single espresso and also their espresso tonic and lime light. All were really great drinks! The Pour over was bright and juicy and it was really interesting to see a Pour Steady machine in action. The espresso was brighter and more acidic than my usual preference, but it was still balanced enough to be really tasty and was nice change of usual pace for me. Definitely not anything unpleasant, just different and good! And the espresso tonic and limelight was my favourite drink out of the three. Plenty of great coffee flavour and the tonic worked really well with their espresso and the lime flavours gave it a nice great extra bit of goodness. Again pushing really close to being too sour for me, but I felt that was the intentional flavours in the drink and it was again balanced enough to still be really enjoyable! the staff was also great and knowledgeable. I’ll be back! Prices could be a bit on the high side in a way, but I felt the quality of everything made sense of...
Read morea $7 latte is not so fun...
okay so here’s the thing, I recently tried out this coffee shop for the first time & I really wanted to like it. the aesthetic is super fun & overall I was extremely excited to have a new coffee shop downtown to visit. I ordered the french toast iced latte & a chocolate iced latte (both of which I thought sounded amazing!!!) howeverrrr the price was incredibly high for what I received. the total was over $15 for two (very) small drinks. I looked at the price breakdown & was just astonished that their “pumps of fun” are an extra 1.25. on top of that forget about being vegan and/or having a lactose intolerance bc an extra 75 cents for oat milk is a no from me. overall, the drinks were fine but they really didn’t taste too special. I think I’ll pass on paying $7 for a small drink that tastes kind of like cinnamon & sugar (also the chocolate latte tasted...
Read moreWe found this coffee shop while passing through on our way home from vacation and WOW. It was the best coffee shop experience I’ve ever had. Everything about it was just amazing. The barista was so friendly and helpful, the shop had a really clean feel to it, there were lots of unique drink options, and the coffee was made with good technique and care. I ordered a lavender honey latte made with oat milk and it was so delicious and smooth - not bitter at all. It was just sweet enough without tasting overly sugary or taking away from the flavours. I see there are quite a few reviews about the prices, but I really found it to be quite reasonable. You’re receiving an all-around amazing specialty coffee drink, and it was comparable to Starbucks prices. Not unreasonable at all. I wish this place was closer to where we live so we could go more often, but we will definitely return again...
