Cool vibes. Good food. Neat firehouse conversion. The beer taps--designed like a fire hydrant with extended pipes for the taps. Very neat/cool upcycle of furniture like two farmhouse wooden chairs made into a two seater bench, porch doors made into separator of space between tables---you just gotta go and check it out to get it. Low key, casual vibes. Decent but odd service (one lady who came by and just assumed we know what we wanted--menu-less). She wasnt mean just very type A how do you not know what you want vibes from her... Which unfortunately is why this place gets 3 stars. Otherwise, the rest of the staff was perfect! Sunday morning/noon-ish we arrived and the place was packed. Two seaters were available as well as patios (both back and front, in abundance of seat) but it was a tad chilly so we waited about 10-15min before we were seated on a high top in the back. We had a wonderful waiter and barista who served us our coffees/drinks and food--no complaints there. Everyone loved their foods! Mine was the Eggwich sandwich with avocado, bacon in between two fried egg--genius and clever gluten free meal but I wanted more! Perhaps side salad/soup or what not could have been added? Otherwise, love the space, vibes... Coffee counter for the takeaways and areas in the back for those digital nomads--reminds me of hostel meet farmhouse vibes. Small parking outback/side but we parked at the next door plaza with no issues :)

Went through Stoney Creek to visit a liquidation store. We got hungry, as one does, and wanted to find a small local restaurant to grab some breakfast somewhere along the way home. After some googling, we found Station 1 Coffeehouse and wanted to try it out. We arrived and the place was packed - mind you it was 12:30pm on a Sunday. We waited a bit before we were seated by our waitress. We just missed the cut off time for breakfast but thankfully they managed to squeeze us in. We both got the Northender Sandwich and 2 drinks. I wanted to treat myself to the Iced Matcha Latte as I hadn't had one in a long time. The latte was a little disappointing. Sad. Felt very watered down and lacked the matcha flavour I was looking for. Probably won't get again. The sandwich however was great! Delicious cooked perfectly and would highly recommend for a quick bite. We couldn't leave without getting something sweet. We grabbed a few items from the display and ate them in the car as one does. The Scone was on the drier side but everything else was so so good. I loved the Pumpkin Bar and should have gotten two they were that good! I will say, upon leaving I realized how this place can be misleading. The website shows a menu and so I imagined that it would have been like a sit down restaurant that serves breakfast. However, it is not that. It is basically a Starbucks that gives you table service.

Excellent place for a light meal or good tea! (Not a coffee drinker so I can't testify to it's quality). Obviously, as the name implies, the building is an old fire station that's been redone as a cafe. The bay doors that once opened for firetrucks are now all glass and open up the space with lots of natural light, creating a wonderful ambience. Had both a green and rooibos tea, both were excellent. Also a chicken and havarti panini on gluten free bread... Have to say this was the star of the show, I've been wheat and gluten free for over a year now and this was by FAR the best gluten free sandwich that I've had. The service was great, the server had no problem explaining to us (my date was also gluten free) which items on the menu were safe. I am not from Grimsby, but I work in the city every once and awhile and will definitely be going back here .

If I could give no stars, I would. I went there with a friend of mine, and there seemed to be some sort of trivia night. We were given no warning of this, and when older customers began coming in, they acted rudely to us saying 'get out' and leaving rude remarks asking me to leave my card there with them to ensure 'I actually paid'. The servers said nothing to defend us, and simply asked us to leave after paying. The underlying racism at this cafe is strong. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is of colour.

Edit to Reply: I believe that your employees did witness some portion of it, as this occurred when we had received the bill. One had even apologized for the circumstance. Now, I completely understand that it was a trivia night, and we had to leave and it was simply an unfortunate mistake that the staff hadn’t warned us at any point and we were seated in the very back so we hadn’t noticed other customers leaving. But when those who made reservations arrived, we were treated with animosity. It wasn’t even our server to tell us that we had to leave but someone else. I believe it is very fair to darken your reputation as leaving under such a manner was disgusting. Customers had even asked me if I has truly paid. Now obviously the server was nearby as I was paying. Sure, they didn’t ‘hear’ the multiple times we were met with rude remarks, but I believe it was an act of turning a blind eye to rude and in-just actions. If we would like to talk about service, I can talk about how we were failed to be served for a good while after we arrived, until a nice lady beside us had began speaking to us. The cafe was busy so I understand, but the repetitive subpar experience that we had to undergo at YOUR cafe has resulted in this review. The only positive experience we had was a nice lady who gave us advice, nothing that your cafe...
