FAI-Mama’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Grimsby

Oh this place stole my heart, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Mama is the best, this amazing old lady is from Greece and with her welcoming and interacting character, it is impossible to not fall in love with her! The eggs were delicious, as was the rest of the food! She also gives us a bit of feta and olives, to make us feel the flavours of home! She was even able to speak a bit of Italian 🤩, she sat next to us and tell us about her story. Also the rest of the family, was super welcoming and kind. But the icing on the cake, was that she gave us a takeaway bacon for our trip. I hope to be back soon in Canada and stop by again. Thank you Mama, I wish all the best...

We drive out towards Niagara on the lake often, thought to try breakfast here en-route, this quaint town. This is like a mom-pop place which I really like, however it ended up being a bit pricey for pretty basic breakfasts. (Ie. even a stack of 3 small plain pancakes was around $10, not $6.50), Of course we didn’t just have pancakes but they didn’t give us a receipt so can’t give the breakout. The portions weren’t large as others mentioned, I’m a smaller person and don’t eat as much so it was fine for me, I did finish everything. Mama can't count and guesses the total bill which Tina knows, Mama uses her age and her charm and plays dum and it works a lot of the time. It is all a facade. They serve burnt toast and broken eggs. They overcharge their customers and steal tips from their employees instead of going in the tip jar most of them go straight to the cash or to etransfers. Do not eat there or WORK there. Not to mention they are not paying their dues to the government which means that they are not contributing to the economy. They are Greek and very dishonest people.
