If I could I would give them a negative star. We made a delivery order which came but they forgot the pop. So we called the store and Lilliannna who served us, so the receipt says, firstly implied that we were lying saying she put it together herself and she put it all in one bag. She then quickly corrected herself because everyone knows you don't put cold pop in the bag with the hot food and said that she gave the driver 2 bags. She then said she would have to call the delivery company and ask the driver about our pop and she would call us right back. As we were trying to tell her to get someone else to bring it she said she had to make sure we didnt receive already by talking to the driver to confirm what we said was true and very rudely said bye and hung up as we were still talking. A few minutes went by and we heard nothing so figuring she didn't get a hold of the driver we called back. This time she was even more snarky like we didn't have the right to be calling and bugging her about pop she thought she knew we got. She then said she had not heard back yet and would call as soon as she did. So we waited longer this time and called her back and she said he isn't there yet with the pop. We said no and said so he did have the pop in his car and she said yes and he should be there any time. As she was hanging up we said thanks for the call back but she just hung up. No apologies, no sorry for our mistake, nope, all we got was a click and then dial tone. Well great customer service Lillianna. You are supposed to represent the company "Mary Browns Chicken" not your pissy you are bugging me attitude. Customer service is very important in that line of work, but unfortunately if you can't grasp that concept then get a job where you don't have to worry about interacting with customers because in my opinion you are a very rude and an unapologetic person with no empathy. Anyway, about 2 minutes of pretty much being disrespected and treated like we were not even worth the time, the driver shows up with our pop. He was even more pleasant lol. The guy didn't even care that he forgot our pop which was now piss warm and no apology from him either. In fact he treated us as if we had done something wrong and told us we would have to take it up with M.B. I suggested we should at least get some of the $5.00 delivery fee back and our change since he didn't even offer it back the first time he just walked away like he was entitled to it. He said he couldn't do anything so we said we will take it up with the store and M.B's head office tomorrow but we would appreciate our change back that he just walked away with the first time. He said he had no money on him that it was in his car and he would go get it and bring it back. Well he still hasn't returned with it which this is were we should have been a bit smarter and went with him to his car to get it but we didn't. So not only were we implied to be thiefs of the pop we paid for and orgibally did not get, the delivery driver stole our change. So how is that for customer service, believe me we will be filing a complaint with both companies for the lack of customer service, aplogies, which do go a long way with a customer and might have made us not write this review. We will also be complaining about how rude the driver was even though this was his mistake and about how he said he would be right back with our change and never came back which technically is stealing. Hopefully the complaints will not fall on deaf ears and both companies will do something about training their employees in the art of customer service and how sometimes a simple I'm sorry will...
Read moreIt has been four years since we have been to Mary Browns after a unsanitary act 3 years ago, by the another location on eramosa; by spitting bodily fluids in a poutine. Unfortunately now it is the lack of listening skills, communication and to be able to clearly enunciate and project while wearing P.P.E . When behind a counter with a fan in the back and excessive noise take your time and get the order correctly. Due to the increase of customers coming in we were unable to check our bags , unfortunate for us , yes ; but we gave the benefit of the doubt and a stroke of chance that this time would be different..... Assuming without asking and already placing items on the register . Watch what is placed down for order and make sure you do not just get colsaw and Pepsi ( " is that okay" is not the correct way to ask a customer when taking an order , it is " and what side would you like with your combo " then give the options, once given the order then you may proceed to punch it in . Giving a drink selection is also appropriate not just assuming Pepsi . We had to ask three times for orange juice and we received orange crush and the third drink was missing . Two for two locations. Both on customer service . Please understand that even though it is a fast food restaurant there should still be standards and ethics to follow on a regular . Thankyou I hope this review finds useful for next comers when ordering at...
Read moreI recently visited Mary Brown’s Chicken to order a 6-piece chicken combo with medium taters for $24.99. I specifically requested only white meat without wings or drumsticks, and the cashier informed me that it was possible, but with an additional charge of $1.80 per piece. However, when I asked if I could include a center breast piece, I was told there would be an additional $3 charge per piece. This was confusing since I was already paying an upcharge for each white meat piece.
The cashier then mentioned that the 9-piece combo with large taters includes center pieces, but this information was not on the menu. When I asked where this policy was written, I was told that’s just the way it is. The lack of clear information on the menu and inconsistent charges made for a frustrating experience. It would be helpful if all additional charges and specific piece options were transparently listed to avoid confusion. I hope Mary Brown’s can improve communication about their pricing...
