Some say it's the best Thai in Guelph, I'd say it's the most hyped Thai in Guelph.
To be fair, this isn't Chinese food masquerading as Thai like some other Thai restraints in Guelph. The bar for Thai in Guelph is really low, and although this is definetly more like the Thai food I experienced in Thailand, I don't believe this is the best. Quality of their food is ok, but far from great. I mainly wished their curries packed a little more flavour. They do claim to use some organic ingredients which I appreciate.
Where they really lose points for me is their service. It seems their trouble here is largely due to their success. They are just too busy. Last time we ordered from them the place was jam packed with people waiting for orders.
We ordered 7 hours in advance. When I arrived I was told it would be another ten minutes, which is totally forgivable. The real problem started ten minutes later when we were informed they didn't have any more left of one of our ordered meals. The individual serving me then charged me for the full order even though we did not receive one of the dishes. They did refund me once I realized things weren't adding up and I pointed out the mistake....but they were some busy the person didn't even try to figure out the exact amount I was owed. They just dumped a bunch of cash in my hand.
I don't necessarily blame the staff. The atmosphere was tense and chaotic and they looked visible stressed. I do believe the restraints popularity has risen to such a degree that they are in desperate need of a larger space, with more staff, and capacity to serve food. As is, I can't see us returning. It's really not worth...

Wow! What a find!
Just back from a harrowing, slushy drive back from picking my son up from Toronto airport, we’re driving into Guelph on York Rd, wondering where we can safely pickup something that isn’t the same old, same old takeout, and we spotted the cheerily lit up storefront of Na Ha Thai’s Kitchen through the flying snow!
We ordered yellow curry with pineapple and chicken, the house fried rice with chicken, beef, and shrimp, along with two different orders of crispy spring rolls. Beyond delicious, beyond “homemade”, and in fact, the two ladies behind the counter made me feel I had two mothers making sure I got enough to eat!
We were their last customers before they closed for the holiday season, giving all staff ten days off for real family time! Something they’ll do again in mid-summer! So civilized! So thoughtful! No wonder the service and the food make you feel like you’re at home! It comes from a place of loving care and respect! Definitely not the same old, same old takeout experience! Loved it!
PS. Stuffed ourselves with huge chunks of chicken and pineapple, yummy crispy spring rolls, and fried rice with more meat protein than rice, and still had enough for...
Read moreI used to love this place. Today I had to watch our server Marissa (I had to ask ANOTHER SERVER for my server's name since she was avoiding us) text on her phone (not the store cellphone) and have her back turned to us, talking loudly with her co-workers who were PULLING UP THEIR SHIRTS AND TAKING PICTURES instead of serving us. Marissa not only forgot to type in our appetizer (if you can't remember two peoples orders, bring a pad to the table) but neglect to mention no onions. Then not check in on us when I had an onion complaint. Then avoid ringing us through after another girl handed us our bill and avoid eye contact. The nerve to be rude after horrendous service like that is incredible. They three servers together acted like they were 12 talking loudly about things that were incredibly unprofessional. Also, please don't touch your face and hair then put your whole arm in the rice pot. The slightly older lady who's there most of the time with the funky haircut must really keep this place together. She's the only reason this place didn't get ONE star. I wish she was there today. You lost two regular customers today because of your immature staff. Fix this or you'll...
