Discovered this place randomly while walking towards a brewery house. To be honest I really thought this was a Takoyaki House (Japanese Octopus Deep Fried Balls) but when I step inside, it seem to cute for it to be. Later on the day, gave it a second thought and I look them up to see the menu and little did I know it was a savoury / dessert place. I was kinda disappointed since I thought it was a takoyaki I was craving for some. BUT why not give this place a try. Came mid-afternoon for a snack and the interior is very modern and nice. Music was at a good level for having a conversation. They make all the Taiyaki’s to order so they were very fresh and piping hot. Their are multiple options for the fillings which was a nice change, but I had to get the OG flavour which was red bean. It was pretty good especially with the whip cream they provide for it. I regret not getting the Jaw Dropper which is the Taiyaki crust as a cone and either mango or matcha ice cream or even a twist. Next time when I venture the east coast definitely coming back to this...
Read moreI visited this place with my sister Daria and genuinely I have mixed feelings about it.
First, I want to state that it’s a nice place to sit at. Good music, pretty plants and decorations, very clean.
Second, the food is kinda mid and overpriced. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it tasted very strange- it was sweet and salty at the same time, and the chicken itself had a weird taste and structure of it. The fishes (vanilla and mochi fillings) tasted okay but nothing special. The drinks were okay too, but as I said, not worth the price.
Third, the customer service wasn’t good. I had to stand up and go back to the table because they didn’t give me any sugar or napkins. The girl at the counter wasn’t really friendly and it felt awkward to order / choose food.
Overall, this place is okay in general, but for such price I’d consider going to better places such as Pane e Circo where the food and drinks are...
Read moreIn my opinion, it’s a pretty mid spot - the concept is cool but it’s definitely not worth the hype. We had mini gangs with vanilla and matcha custard, latte, matcha latte and chicken sandwich. Everything was really really mid, but the chicken sandwich had a weird taste (including sweet+salty odd proportions) and quite an unpleasant texture. Idk maybe it’s some kind of special Asian style, but I just didn’t get it.
Also, it was a sunny evening, but there was no outside seating. Not sure if it’s something they typically do, I think I saw a photo though. The thing is that it’s my 2nd time here and the place seems to lack air circulation - both times It felt difficult to breathe and I got a headache.
Overall, the atmosphere is nice, the interior is pretty, but it’s just not worth it. It was nice to try but for me it’s not one of those places I will be...
