Very nice old building - Halifax City Hall It’s very cool when such buildings remain in the history of their city and are maintained in good condition. From time to time this building is illuminated with different light themes, or some event takes place in front of it. Not 5 stars just because I haven't opportunity to come in and review it's inner corridors and rooms.

Very old building that maintains a piece of history on the north side. The clock on the north side is stopped at the time the Halifax Explosion occurred back on December 6th 1917. Also the building is really beautiful and great for pictures

Could not have had a more difficult time trying to get ahold of anybody if they were on a different planet snow contractor destroyed my property and cannot for the sake of me try to resolve it with the city because it is impossible to get ahold of anybody I have documented proof of the incident yet the city will not return my phone calls even with the call back option under automated answering machine snow happens I understand but there's no reason for contractors to be destroying your property backhoe operator emptied all the sidewalks from the neighborhood and dumped it all on my sidewalk in front of my house...

Halifax City Hall was built between 1887 and 1890. On the north face of the tower the clock is not working. This is because of the Halifax Explosion that happened on the ‎6th of December 1917; 9:04:35 am (‎AST‎)‎. You will see that the time of the clock remains the same and was never repaired in respect for remembering this tragic event and all who have been affected...
