Good large gathering space in the middle of downtown Halifax with a view of City Hall, the Church, and the Old Town Clock. Lots of events get hosted here such as ceremonies, local concerts, and protests. Lots of buses run along this route making it very accessible. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and Scotia Square with a food court.

This place was in walking distance from the Barrington hotel where I was staying. People would stop here & read, have there coffee, lunch or just lay out on the grass. Lots of statues, monuments, picnic tables & lots of history. Set between there city hall ( built in the the late 1800's) and a church from colonial times, quite inspiring. They hold all kinds of special events here, unfortunately none was going on while I was here ( 4 days). I will be back in the fall, worth...
