East Coast Bakery — Restaurant in Halifax

came from out of town to do some shopping stopped here to get three dozen bagels to share with friends in the country, they said they had them and a guy grabbed a bag and started filling my order . i asked for a couple of freezer bags they supplied them, girl at the cash took my money and handed me a bag while the guy that filled the order stood by. i left waited at the light to cross then got to my car and drove home 2 hours away. opened the bag and found 1and a half dozen bagels! ripped off ! called in and the guy that answered was the guy that packed em and told me the manager wasn't available (of course not) said i could come back and get the rest .... right a 4 hour round trip for 1 1/2 dozen bagels. thanks for nothing! no call back from management nothing i'd give them no stars if possible UPDATE their reply asked for online banking i don't bank on line and suggesting that i didn't call to complain is a flat out lie, perhaps they are admirers of trumps alternate facts i recommend never doing business with these people UPDATE obviously they are big fans of trumpian alternate facts they are now suggesting they tried to get a hold of me several times ...lie , not one phone call (and yes i did leave my number) they are also suggesting they offered to mail a cheque another lie truly...

Love your bagels but prices went up from $5.50 to $6 and now to $8 for 6 and same for the cookies. Understandable with food ingredient costs, but also now 40cents to tap a card and next asks FIRST for 15%, 18% and 20% tip for take out bagels when in the past it was tap thank you, have a great day. Yes you can not tip last, but if you increase prices, pay the staff a decent wage. Sorry but that’s just too many charges and leaves a bad feeling as a customer. Shouldn’t be asking for tips on bread....

My husband and I love the buns and bread from you guys (the bagels are delicious too, but we never eat them fast enough! They are great for when company comes over)... but for about a year we thought your bakery was called "BAGELS BAGELS BAGELS" because of the sign in your window. You have no idea how long we were recommending to people that they go to BAGELS BAGELS BAGELS and pick up some buns/breads lmao -- excellent...
