I first went to Trinity to have a ring shank (not made by them) widened because it was so thin and uncomfortable. They did an amazing job, so I went back to get a 1.5mm 14K hollow gold Milano chain lengthened from 24" to 30". Unfortunately, since the gold was so thin, the necklace broke right away. I brought it back, and they fixed it, but it broke again because there simply wasn’t enough gold to properly attach the new links. It was really unfortunate because it looked great.
When I returned a third time, they let me know it would likely keep breaking, no matter how many times it was fixed. I came up with an idea for a solution, and they were really understanding and helpful in working with me to make it right. Because of scheduling and how busy the shop is, it took a little while to finish, but I had told them there was no rush, and I appreciated them fitting it in when they could. Every time I stopped by, they were always friendly and easy to talk to.
The project I asked for was a pretty straightforward but thick signet ring. They gave me a very reasonable quote range. I had discussed that idea when I had actually dropped the ring off, but I had two different ideas in mind and had discussed them with two different people, and in the end, they made the more complex(expensive) ring, which I originally couldn’t afford. But it only wound up being $40 more than the top end of the quote, even though it was definitely twice the work! The ring turned out beautifully, and now I have something special I can pass down in my family, instead of the original ring, which was just a step above costume jewelry.
Thanks, Trinity Jewelers. I would highly recommend them to anyone. While it wasn’t a smooth experience the whole time, they were always kind, patient, and pleasant to deal with. I especially appreciate...
Read moreDon't fall for the scam of this place.
I initially got interested in a redesign of my engagement & wedding ring as a colleague got it done for only $800.
I sent Trinity Jewellers all the details and photos of my rings and they quoted me $1600+tax for a simpler redesign, or $1900+tax for a more complex redesign. Then told me to go in to have my rings assessed in real life.
The number of diamonds didn't change from the initial photos and info I sent them, the sizing was pretty much the same, and I ended up choosing a simpler redesign, but after seeing me in person, they changed the quote to $2145+tax. I was upset but agreed to pay that provided there would be no more price increases.
But then they added in another "oh we might need to add some more gold, could cost a few hundred more, we won't know until we melt the ring" and then they added in that they might need to supplement the diamonds too.
Do you see this manipulative "foot in the door" psychological technique sales tactic? $800 to $1600 to $2145 to more, and I kept asking for a FIRM final price that wouldn't change and she couldn't give me that as she said they wouldn't know until they melt the ring. That's a massive red flag. Once your ring is melted, it's held hostage and you have to pay whatever they tell you the new price is if you want it back.... beware.
I realized this was a scam and started reading their reviews, saw several reviews where they apparently ruined other people's jewellery and it freaked me out. I went and got my rings back and I was going to just move on from this without saying anything, but then I saw the catty owner blocked me on instagram and I felt like that was extra shady and I needed to warn people. Consider...
Read moreI purchased my wife’s engagement ring (pearl with side diamonds) through their online site, and then a custom wedding band (half diamond band) from Trinity Jewellers in 2017-2018.
Unfortunately, since wearing the rings, my wife has had a number of issues despite being very careful with the rings (removing before washing hands, etc). The engagement ring has had the pearl fall off twice, and two diamonds have fallen out. The wedding band has had four diamonds fall out of the over separate occasions. Trinity repaired the rings free of charge each time the ring required repair.
Given the number of times the ring has required repair (+6 occasions in 2 years) my wife has stopped wearing her rings aside for special occasions. Most recently she only wore the ring 3 times since its last repair before she noticed another diamond was missing from the wedding band.
I asked Trinity multiple times to address the issues with these rings to prevent the diamonds from falling out so easily, and they stated that they were unwilling to alter the rings but would continue to make repairs free of charge. Two weeks ago they said that they would no longer repair the rings free of charge.
My wife loves her rings, but she no longer trusts the design and its ability to stand up for a short period, let alone the rest of her life. She is heartbroken, because after 1.5 years she can no longer wear her engagement/wedding ring that cost ~$2,000.
We liked Trinity’s service, but we can’t trust...
