Real Fake Meats — Restaurant in Halifax

I’ve wanted to write a review for RFM for a long time now, but never felt that words could truly capture the awesomeness of this place. I’ve tried plant based restaurants in many major cities around the world and nothing compares to RFM, we are extremely fortunate to have this here in Halifax. My partner and I usually eat out or order in once a week and we like to try new places but honestly, all we really want is RFM, which is what we typically end up deciding on! Can’t say enough good things, the staff are always so nice, and the food is out of this world. I visited Real Fake Meats for the first time on Saturday. I was having my sister and her boyfriend over, who are both vegan, for a birthday dinner. I struggled a little bit with what I would make until I remembered her talking about RFM. I checked out their products on their website and decided on having a pizza night! I purchased their Spicy Peps, Veggie Donair and Donair Sauce. I panicked a little when I didn’t see their Donair Sauce in the fridge, but asked at the counter and they bottled some up for me. I made a donair pizza and a Pictou County brown sauce pizza with their Spicy Peps and they were both delicious! I look forward to trying some of their other products...

Real Fake Meats is truly a gem in Halifax! I can't believe we have a vegan "butcher" in our city and I am SO grateful for their hard work, amazing food and positive vibes. They did a contactless weekly "butcher bag" delivery service during covid and it was the highlight of every week. The space is small (and seating is limited) but the food is always fresh, the staff are SO nice and they are ready to help with anything.
