Upward Kitchens & Cafe at The Nook — Restaurant in Halifax

Super cute little spot with kind and friendly staff but I'm not here to review the establishment. No. My life was changed when I ate the vegan power wrap.

First off, I'm not a vegan. Secondly, I love eggs, I love sausages, I love breakfast food in general.

This wrap has no eggs, no sausage but let me tell you, it was incredible. I don't even understand what's in this fella but oh god it is delicious. There's some sort of maple sauce in there and honestly? It might be crack. I just ate it this morning and I want it again. I want to drink a full cup of this sauce through a straw. I want this injected straight into my veins.

Eat this at your own risk. You will love it. You will love it the second time. It will take over your life and it will be all you think about every waking moment...

I love the Nook! Tucked in between Hammonds Plains and Bedford Hwy- this use to be a Starbucks which I used to come to meet people for work. The Nook has a special atmosphere;wonderful staff to boot- an example: I ordered a Maachi latte for the first time & it was not to my palettes liking. One of the staff so graciously offered to make me something else with no extra charge- that to me is A1 service. I did offer to pay but she kept insisting no that was ok. Their daily lunches and pastries are really good. If you’re ever hungry, stop by at The Nook and try their meals. You will not be disappointed. I really Love coming here whenever I get the opportunity to meet my clients. Lots of parking and kind, polite and professional staff, great coffee and delicious food makes this place one...

The Nook espresso bar & lounge Scored on street parking (Sun) Counter staff was lovely. Environment was welcoming. Booth was super cute. A little pricy, but healthy costs more. Many vegan options. Beet salad = yummy. Good jams. .. So much so that one fella across the room sang right along with Brittany. Therefore points for entertainment 😁. Wifi score 😁 blueberry basil lemonade was good - but super tart - had to go back for the sweetner ..lol. yet another bathroom tidbit ... Need a key .. on a large wooden kitchen utensil .. for a bathroom that's right in plain sight directly across from the main counter .. sooooo there must be a reason - that I might not want to know - but the bathroom was lovely and clean, so score. One latte $4.50 .....
