It is edible... but that about it. Im not here to rip on an establishment but compared to other restaruants in HRM these guys are pretty bad.
i always try General Tso Chicken when ever i get Chinese and definitly should not of from here.
Came to 15$ for a small portion of the chicken a heaping pile of soggy over cooked rice, and a soggy egg roll (the filling is some sort or pork with a strange flavor). very expensive for lunch time (about double what im use to paying for this dish elsewhere)
The rice baffeled me. It seemed as though they just steamed white rice and poured soy sauce over it. added 2 small chunks of chicken and were done with it. the rice definitly did not hit the frying pan once.
The egg roll... Soggy and tasted strange, Not horrible and i was able to eat it.. but not good by any means.
The General Tso Chicken... i should of changed my order when i saw the face the watress gave me when i ordered it because it was truley awefull. the chicken was very rubbery with a super hard crunchey exterior. the sauce was missing alot of corn starch as it was super runny and tasted like it was equal parts sugar, soysauce, and fish sauce. it did have some Spice but nothing very noticable..
Needless to say i did not enjoy this and will not be returning.
It may have been that i ordered something they were not use to makeing? so im giving them the benifit of the doubt. either way why have something on your menue you...
Read moreOverall not my “cup of tea” 5/10. Order included 10 pan fried dumplings ($14.95), sweet and sour fish ($21.95)and a combination order that included mixed vegetables, general Tao chicken, egg roll and chicken fried rice ($18.95). Unable to attach photos 🙁.
General Tao chicken and chicken fried rice were good, finished all of it🙂. Portion was small. Would still order again. 10/10
Egg roll 5/10: it was okay, wouldn’t order again.
Sweet and sour fish 0/10 : Heavily battered and tasted soggy and undercooked. Not quite what I was expecting. Could not bring myself to swallow a single morsel. Will not order again or recommend.
Meat and vegetable dumplings 4/10: Hard at the tips. The bottom and mid section were okay though. Filling was meat and veggies (probably would have been good if it were just vegetables). Would not order again or recommend.
Mixed vegetables 5/10: Okay, just too much sauce for my liking. Would not order again
Delivery service 10/10: Driver was very polite. I was advised that pricing on skip the Dishes was incorrect. Correct amount was $7.25, I paid $4.29 on app and paid ~$4.25 in person. So the math wasn’t adding up but I was too hungry to question it but this appears to be an error with the app and not the restaurant.
Quality of food for the entire order 5/10 (I rounded up): I only finished fried rice and general Tao chicken. Everything was over-priced for average/...
Read moreThis restaurant is the worst restaurant i could ever visit. I apologise if I say here but the lady who was cooking, her apron was never washed since 1942 … I was concerned about the sanitary and hygiene of the place, I’m wondering how did the critique approve this place - im assuming the food must be unhealthy too. AND the blinds of the windows were closed, we went on and opened it, she came to us and questioned us, “Did you open the blinds?” I was like “Umm.. was I not suppose to..” since the weather outside was super nice. She went on - “You are not suppose to open it” I politely said, you should mention it though, that we aren’t suppose to, then she said “now that i am saying, the answer would be no” I was super uncomfortable and wanted to leave the place, i had ordered a coffee and left it and still paid for it. We wanted to order much from there however when i saw hair clinging on the apron the cook was wearing also her daughter’s customer service. it was much better i must leave!!
If you’re questioning yourself about going there, you sure can ONLY IF YOU WANT TO TRAUMATISE YOURSELF.
No wonder I saw no one in the restaurant except me lol
One start is only so i can review, otherwise I’d give 0 stars or less than that!...
